Maybe you could use a smaller tool to work on the background, you would be able to draw, write or just improvise. Especially with such a narrow lens ;)

Just a day more and then I can get a bigger playing ground. Right now stuck inside my room so bit cranked up with space.
It's not a bad thing to be locked up. During the lockdown, I made good experimental pictures.
My two cents : start with the tiniest lamp you could find. You have plenty of time to grow your skills and use bigger tools after that in a proper way.
Sadly that's the issue.. was rushed into self isolation that I don't have much to play with around in this room.. not even torch light.. so using mobile light 😅
You can download apps for mobile phones and tweak it into a LP tool
