Hello Everyone! My name is Dennis or also known as Ryu's Lightworks in the Lightpainting community
I am an autodidactic lightpainting artists from Germany practicing this for about 10 years now. This wonderful form of art is a fusion of reality with fantasy using camera tricks and light. For me it is a way to bring to life the worlds I imagine and expressing my creativity by creating digital art in an analogue way.
Hallo allerseits. Mein Name is Dennis oder auch bekannt als Ryu's Lightworks in der Lightpainting Community.
Ich bin ein autodidaktischer Lightpainting Künstler aus Deutschland und praktiziere diese Kunstform nun seid ca. 10 Jahren. Dabei handelt es sich um eine Verschmelzung von Fantasie und Realität und für mich ist es eine kreative Kunst mit der ich die Bilder in meinen Kopf als digitale Kunst mit analogen Mitteln erschaffen kann.
For these kind of photos I usually use several different techniques combined to create scenes highly inspired by fantasy, folklore and sci-fi. Everything is done in front of the camera and there is no digital manipulation involved (no photoshop at all). If you have any questions regarding the techniques I use just ask away, I am happy to help anyone who takes an interest in lightpainting and share my knowledge.
Meistens benutze ich viele verschiedene Techniken um diese Fotos zu erschaffen. Meine Inspiration hole ich aus Märchen, Fantasy und Science Fiction. Alle Fotos sind so wie man sie sieht komplett vor der Kamera entstanden und sind nicht digital verändert wie z.B. mit Photoshop. Wenn ihr Fragen habt zu den Techniken habt die ich verwende einfach ansprechen. Ich helfe gerne jeden der sich für Lightpainting interessiert und teile gerne mein Wissen.
Starting with adding elements to landscapes I also use self build diorama scenes and for some time now also work with models and cosplayers. Working with people is the most interesting aspect so far since it opens up a lot of ways to tell a story and put a little magic in our mundane world.
Anfangs habe ich viel Elemente in Landschaften eingefügt und meine eigenen Diorama Welten gebaut. Etwas später fing ich dann auch an mit Models und Cosplayern zu arbeiten. Gerade das Arbeiten mit Menschen ist sehr faszinierend da es Wege öffnet Geschichten zu erzählen und etwas Magie in unseren Alltag zu streuen.
Other lightpainters might also know my name Ryu's Lightwork from the first flashlight especially created for this form of art that I have developed and designed. A majority of the tools that I use are created and build by myself and that flashlight is one of those that was causing a lot of interest in other lightpainters so I worked together with Lightpainting Paradise to make it available for everyone.
Andere Lightpainter kennen meinen Namen Ryu's Lightworks evtl. von der Taschenlampe die ich speziell für diese Kunst entwickelt und designt habe. So gut wie alle Tools die ich benutze sind von mir selbst entwickelt und gebaut und diese Taschenlampe hat so viel Interesse bei anderen Lightpaintern erzeugt das ich mit Lightpainting Paradise zusammen gearbeitet habe um diese für alle zugänglich zu machen.
