Flower Power - Lightpainting on Hive

S2004066edWeb.jpg

Hello Hive-People,

the last night was very rainy, so i had to change my plans and instead of waving the light in the forest, i took some pictures in the dry home.

In this shot I have made a stencil of room air fresheners. 20200906_114542.jpg

I have prepared two sets (one for the red flower and one for the green leaves), a green and red torch to lit the stencil from behind, two tripods and my lovely camera rotation tool (sorry, but I am addicted to this technique 😇)

Set/Tripod 1: Camera Rotation (12 times) f/18, ISO 100, 35 mm
Lens cap on and swap to Tripod 2 (the exposure continues)

Set/Tripod 2: Camera Rotation (10 times) f/18, 28 mm
When the rotation of the green leaves (in the middle of frame) is done, lens cap on and then I zoomed to 70 mm and pan the camera a little on the tripod. Lens cap off and rotate the camera again (15 times) for the green leaves , to fill the dead space around the red flower.

Total exposure time: 401 sec.

The image was taken in several steps, during a longexposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.

That was another beautiful night in the world of light. 😎

Happy and relaxed sunday!

Stepko 🤗

What is camera rotation?

Camera Rotation is a Light Painting technique that falls into the category of kinetic Light Painting. The CRT (Camera Rotation Tool) is a device which allows the camera lens axis to be rotated during a single exposure.

Danke Dir @gunnarheilmann Die Idee enstand gestern eher aus der Not heraus, weil das Wetter nicht sehr lightpainter-freundlich war.
