As I wrote earlier it just became true - WRC Rally Japan 2021 has been cancelled. It was obvious after they cancelled organization of Formula 1 GP race or World RX race, that this will also be cancelled. If you ask yourself why, it is also obvious - because of the corona virus pandemic.
When you look at all the rallies that has been cancelled in the World Rally Championship, it could be easily European Rally Championship without the African event in Kenya this summer. Thw world us still on the strange path and we all wait for the normal life after terrible year and half.
The substitute rally is also known - Rally Monza, just like the last year when Italian organizers suggested that they could be the organizer of the last event needed that WRC season 2020 would be declared valid.
They also did very good job with one day at mountains and two days at Monza F1 track but with some obscure forest roads around the track.
I really don't know if I will miss Japanese event this year. They are cool but they are famous with their gravel special stages and this season they wanted to make a tarmac rally.
They will have to wait for a new season or that behind to show us how good they are at organization of everything. Until then we must enjoy what is offered, and we are talking about European rallies.
