Some of the rally journalists expected that new Junior World Rally Championship season would start at Monte Carlo Rallye in January but it seems that they were wrong.
Mr Maciej Woda, manager of JWRC, said today that it is impossible that season will start at Monte Carlo because the calendar for 2023 is still not published. It seems that calendar will be published this week and after that we expect the list of five events which will be counted for Junior series.
All these WRC3 cars which are run by M-Sport Poland Re not cheap of you want to contest the season but that's because you have to rent from the team directly and that's expensive.
I guess that five events should cost around 250.000€ at least. You have to add the cost of training, tests, warm-up rallies etc.
So WRC Rally Sweden should be the first JWRC event in 2023 and we still don't know which drivers will contest the season.
