Loubet to change co-driver from WRC Rally Portugal

in Rally3 years ago

Hi, friends!

French youngster Pierre-Louis Loubet who drives for Hyundai's satellite team 2C Competition had to make some changes after really bad start of 2021 WRC season.

When you have three starts with the top machinery and you don't score any point, then you know that something is wrong. Loubet showed some quality special stage times but somehow, he always made mistakes and had to go for a Super Rally rule with time penalty to restart the rally on the following day.

Vincent Landais red for him for the last six or seven seasons (it depends how you watch some outings) but it seems that they had to split after WRC Croatia Rally where they went off into the ditch on the 2nd day of the rally and the rest of the event they were just cruising to finish another rally.

Loubet finished 7th overall at Sardinia last season so that seems that he can score good so the co-driver change could help him.

The new co-driver is Florian Haut-Labourdette who doesn't have much World Rally Championship experience but he co-drove for Thierry Neuvillw at Monza Rally Show in 2019 and Neuville is a top dog at Hyundai.

I guess that Hyundai management suggested that co-driver change but anyone with brain should think about a change if something is missing.

Season is long and there is a lot to prove from Loubet who is only 24. Results are waiting because there is lots of money invested in his drive with Hyundai...
