So far we had only one Rally3 category car available on the market and it was Ford Fiesta Rally3 which is also an official car of the Junior World Rally Championship.
M-Sport produced and homologated that car with the help of Ford, of course. It is never good to have a monopol on the market so it's good to have another competitor on the market
Yeah, Renault started to work on their Clio Rally3 car in 2021 and the car has changed a lot during the last two years. They did around 5000km of testing, on both sutfaces - tarmac and gravel.
They announced that Renault Sport will homologate that car in April 2023 so that also means that they will have the car available for purchase at the same time.
It is good that we have a healthy competition between a manufacturers and now, with two in the same category, it won't be a monopol from one at least.
Guys fro Renault still work on the car so it could be something good out from this project.
