Polish rally champion Miko Marczyk just won another crown from the same championship and now he will try harder on the international scene with Škoda, the same brand which helped him to win those titles.
He has a big help there because his biggest opponent Kajetan Kajetanowicz is absent and Kajto drives in WRC3 class for the last three seasons. I think that this is a good choice for Kajto because after three European Rally Championship titles, he can only find motivation on the special stages of World Rally Championship.
Without Robert Kubica who is absent from rallying for probably five or six seasons (last big outing was at Monte Carlo Rallye 2016 with Ford Fiesta WRC where he finished with accident) and Lukasz Habaj who is out because of the budget reasons, it's easier for Marczyk to march through their championship.
I never saw him as a international potential but maybe I was wrong and maybe he can improve more through international outings. You can improve only if you face tougher opposition and then you see where you are at that moment.
Marczyk finished 2nd overall at the night super special stage of ERC Rally Hungary and only 0.1s from Gryazin's best time. His drive was super clean and that always gives you better result.
