Chocolate city happens to be one of the oldest record labels famous for rap music in Nigeria. They have signed artists like MI Abaga(Mr Incredible), Jesse Jagz, Ice prince and the famous Brymo.
Blaqbones is also a part of the choc city crew and somehow somewhere a new artist was just signed in and he released a video of what he did to the artist.
A lot of people found it funny, but the truth about it is there are a lot of deep stuff in that joke. Don't get me wrong, it was also fun to me.

First, he told him about Portable who happens to be a wide mouth in the industry and tells him not to tell him anything if he wants his stuff to be secret. This sounds funny but one lesson I got from this is when you want to do something, know who to tell and who not to tell. Study your environment and act accordingly. If you are going to be successful, cease from telling your secrets till you have accomplished them. Shock your fans.
The next thing he did was to tell him to break up with his high school girlfriend. In as much as this looks so inhumane, this can prove to be a good move. What I took from this was the fact that you need to break out of some relationships for you to step ahead in life. There are people that you can’t be with or else moving forward will feel like an Herculean task. Moving forward on its own is a tough task, you do not want extra things that will make it more difficult. I am not saying you should leave your girlfriend; all I am saying is, determine who has the ability to distract you from your main goal and do the needful. You have to be true to yourself in this aspect, or else, you will be moving in circles.
The next thing he did was to take him to the club as he was going to be singing about girls. To me, he was trying to make him have a lot of knowledge on what he was about to get into. Anytime, you are about to do something, knowledge is a prerequisite for success. You can’t bypass the knowledge phase. If you do, you will pay for it with your time. Most people try to bypass the knowledge phase and end up having to go back. When you ask them what they did differently, they will tell you, they went back to find out about a few things.
After taking him to the club, he then took him to the dealership so he could see what he was hustling for. Sometimes when you are about to embark on something, you need to set your eyes on the goal to give you an idea of what it feels like if you attain that goal. For example, some motivational speakers will tell you to go to an expensive restaurant and try to see how life will be if you were able to afford it. This helps your subconscious to be hungry for success. If you want to understand the power of the subconscious, the book “think and grow rich” will do well to help you understand the process.
Finally, he took him back to the studio to produce a song. After spiking your subconscious, the only thing you need to do is to wear your thinking cap and hustle. A lot of people, just go and keep getting fascinated by how big the goal is or some just give up.
Well, I have something to tell you, if your dream does not scare you, you should change it to something worth it. This is the only way you can live above the regular.
I know this feels like an overthought process or excessive reading or listening to motivational speakers but it is what it is. Wake up and get to work.
