Its almost always fun to see people in person and recognise things you read online. Certainly fun, but yesterday under different circumstances than the former ones. I skipped my daily blog yesterday, but today I will share mine.
About four years ago, there weren't many vloggers on the blockchain, but there was a chit-chat duo that made vlogs and I started following en befriended these two people online. I was a mad engager and the fact they both were in Europe made it fun because when I was online, they were aswell. At the time, we as founders of discord The Terminal had the privilege to be interviewed for the vlogs aswell.
The road to the meet up was a new one for me aswell.
And exciting to be meeting up in person.

Who are these hivers and former steemians, I am talking about?
I hear you ask.
Well they are @priyanarc and @blind-spot
Pri and blind for me as of now.
They are now living in my country, because the dreadful war in their beloved home country, Ukraine. Ever since the war started I kept in touch over discord, and Instagram. But when I got a message from a little bird, telling met that
they didn’t want to bother me in my busy life, I planned a visit.
Because
I am
to busy to help out and when I can help out I most
certainly will.
It is nice weather and I did some calls that were needed along the way so the trip went very smooth and quick. While I was at the gas station I texted my time of arrival and asked if we could meet outside the temporary place they are staying.
The place is nice and pretty much in the center near the train station. But never like home, the war and the refugee situation is still going on and the stories are horrible. We all see it on the news daily, and when the war will end, only one horrible individual knows. Starting a new life in a different country is a bitch.
After we met, it felt like meeting friends you last saw a week ago ,
strange but true. Again we all blog and see some feeds daily but this is so different yet so close. Strange but fun. After that we went through the nice train station to the city centre. We had some tasks and appointments to take care of, but we first had lunch.
What was great that the owner of the place, offered a job already! So maybe this is great for the future, now it’s to early but it shows the nice souls dutch do have in difficult times, and that was sweet to experience also for me. I am a proud dutchie!
We order coffee and tea , but ofcourse also talked about lists and the things that were arranged already. You have to think about what it would be like for you, if it happened to you. I think of that a lot, I hope others can make a difference for me aswell.
I had eggs and toast but the picture is made after the owner cleaned the table. Pri had chicken and blind didn’t want anything, but did like the mint - ginger tea.

And the blog by pri is coming when her hart can put then words in a blog. But I know that she is vlogging again already. All in due time dear.
Fun thing was for me, outside my family nobody understands that I think in blogs. With PRI and Blind that is not nesseccary because the take pictures of all aswell. No explanation needed, I thought that was so great and we three would all do a blog about today. So with that taken care of , we went to a meeting at the bank, We had to go to the train station for a pass, and we went to the place where the volunteer of the Red Cross was having a temporary office.
I saw the place where the city council is housing many people from Ukraine and got to ask her some things aswell. The lady was nice, but I am gonna do some thing myself because she has many more to arrange things for and I don’t. But the help that all the organisations give is overwhelming. For me not quick enough but that is in my veins.
Here the ladies were laughing because now we took a picture of blind while he didn’t know, he did the same as you saw in his blog hahahaha
Its At home I stare at the box of chocolates that they bought me as a present, what a journey…..
I am gonna do the utmost to help out.
I know @artakush helped on the day of arrival, @roelandp and @soyrosa also helped already, and a lot of you did the same by voting for our hivers from Ukraine. I know these two diamonds are not the only ones. I hope that I can do what is not yet done.
I have made contact today with another organisation and things are getting done. I hope that the urge to get back on their feet , temporary here on dutch grounds will be arranged soon. I am already planning a next visit and sending the things by mail that can’t wait.
And there also will be a cultural visit just as friends, a place in my country where I haven’t been either so again that will be fun, and again another blog opportunity for Hive.
I was with them 3 hours and 33 minutes in person, a sign we said for us three. We didn’t say goodbye , we will meet again soon!
This is a #thoughtfuldailypost because with some more thoughtful daily action our world would be a better place for sure.

I think that was totally awesome that you were able to meet up to help Blind and Priya, especially in these circumstances. That is quite an accomplishment. Planning on another trip up there? That is super cool.
