Spreading Love and Light

When we react negatively to hurtful things people have done to us, what happens is that those emotions prevent us from being who God wants us to be.

It's your duty as a living soul to retain who God wants you to be irrespective of what has been done to you.

Ask yourself;

1. Who would I be if this person had not done what he had done to me?
2. Who would I be if the world was not the way it is?
3. Who would I be if there was no evil in the world?

Your answer to these questions will depend on;

1. Your relationship with God.
2. Your self concept based on that relationship.

If God is your Father, and you know Him to be Love and Light, then you will act as a legitimate child who spreads love and light. The capacity to be that person is provided by the Holy Spirit who lives in you, and that's God's DNA imprinted on you.

The Holy Spirit dwells in you when you obey the Gospel of Christ. As you study God's word and understand His plan for the life He gave you, His plan for this crooked and perverse world, you will begin to act, not as someone whose life is confined to this world, but as someone who is essentially a child of God and will someday return to God eventually.

The real battle is the battle within.

1. Are you able to remain unperturbed by external circumstances?
2. Can you continue to give love and light in the fiercest storm?

Look, our Lord Jesus Christ, while he was experiencing excruciating pain on the cross, pleaded that his Father should forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.

Stephen, a Christian par excellence, followed this example. While he was being stoned to death for preaching salvation, he pleaded that the Lord should not hold this sin against those stoning him.

What is your response to those insults?

1. What is your response to physical and emotional abuse?
2. What is your response to social media trolls?
3. What is your response when the people who are supposed to uphold justice pervert it or become the threat on the streets?
4. By whose authority do you deliver that response?

Whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS.

If Jesus were to read your tweets, private chats, comments, online and offline activities, would He say you did those things by His authority?

Let's imagine how differently the world would be if we all choose the path of Love, not minding how inconvenient it maybe for us. Let's determine today to spread love and light.

I believe this message is specifically to me. Just earlier today, i was scorned for being different and the first thing that came to my mind was to ignore. When i ended up at the gym, alone as usual, the tears threatened to spill and i felt a heaviness in my chest. At that moment, the only thing that came to my mind through the pain was Jesus. And right in the middle of my workout, i asked him to help my heart. Because i never wanted to return back to that road filled with so much anger and rage. Thank you for sharing. God used you to serve a reminder to his people.

Do not worry about what people say to you provided you know you have someone who will definitely stand by you through thick and thin...

I think we need this to get by our everyday activities because each day comes with different people with different reactions and some times you just want to retaliate with anger but having digest post like this then response would definitely be with love and light.

Always think before you act.. No matter how angry you get because of the reaction of people towards you, try to pay them back with good and not evil...

Very true, at times people will insult you or treat you unfairly but it will only affect you if you let them.

I know Pixabay states that all images are attribution free. But wouldn't you like your hard work and content given the awesome it deserves?
