After a fun but busy week – I slept well and woke up to a quiet and grey Sunday. I am happy for a cooler start than the previous days.
In our household, I am usually the first to wake during the weekend. It is quiet outside. Everyone seems to be sleeping in. I heard nothing but my thoughts.
It was the perfect time to go to my terrace/balcony garden to pick some strawberries.
I stood there admiring the rest of my plants especially these lovely “bunch” of green tomatoes.
I am always in admiration of nature; on my balcony or these sturdy black poplars lining a city street.
I see beauty all around me and I am in awe; whether it is weeping willows dramatically and gracefully beautifying everywhere you see them,
or the simply gorgeous scentless chamomile
or beautiful blindeyes poppy.
My thoughts then drift to the beach. I love walking there especially when it is almost empty like in this photo;
when my main distraction are birds who are not at all disturbed by my presence.
However, it is Sunday morning and I am at home.
It is tranquil and sublime indeed but no need to dream. I can enjoy this hanging heartleaf philodendron with its beautiful leaves,
these orchids standing elegantly which always bring me joy
or this pot with peace lilies with its many blooms.
Now I make myself a cup of mint tea (picked from my garden).
I will enjoy its therapeutic fragrance and continue to savour the stillness....... until my home and the city awaken.

The tomatoes look healthy. I wish I could grow strawberries just to see how they would turn out but my farm would be raided by young busybodies 😇
Thnak you @tezmel lol - try it anyway - do it secretly. The plants propagate themselves and will spread when planted in the ground. I cannot take advantage of these off shoots which only hang from my pots.

Thanks so much. I am very happy. This is my first time planting tomatoes - so far it is going well - waiting for them to ripen.
If you do not interrupt their maintenance, there does not seem to be a problem for them to complete their development. I hope you reach the maturity you wish for and get the reward of your efforts. I'll be following you to see the fried tomatoes too.
Many thanks. I try my best to leave them alone. However I have trimmed unproductive leave and branches. I have a few varieties and some plants seem as though it would spread crazily if it weren't trimmed.
Do you also have a garden?
Lol I will most certainly make a nice recipe with my harvest.
Some strawberry looks right for the picking but I guess the tomatoes will have to wait.
Yes indeed - the tomatoes will be a while - I can only admire them now and wait in anticipation.

You people are so lucky, nature has blessed you with beautiful things all around you. It's easy for you guys to grow a garden and have beautiful flowers everywhere. Sadly, it ain't the same for us. We almost never see the soil except on our bad roads and pathways. I love nature too and I wish I can experience being so close to it someday.
Hmm - I am surprised to hear this. I thought you would be surrounded by a ot of tree and beautiful nature. Can you plaease explain? I am now curious to know more.
Nope! We are surrounded by lots of houses😀😀. Every tree has been cut down. People here make a lot of money from selling lands for building so we have more buildings and almost no trees in the city. It's only in the villages you can see trees and yeah maybe get to appreciate nature the more but the village does not provide the social amenities one needs so you see? We are stuck in the city with no land to cultivate and no nature to admire just tall buildings and road networks which most times are terrible road networks.
Ok I understand better now. No trees to beautify is hard. WE do have trees everywhere and even flowers. Really a pity.
