I would like to start by telling a short story about myself,a story I mostly don't talk about,so only few people know.
After secondary school I wrote my West African examination and got a good result,that same year I registered my jamb (joint admission matriculation board), wrote the exam and the result was very good.
I was very excited,I had dreams of studying medicine and becoming a neurosurgeon, I had all it takes,I was happy because I was pursuing my dream already.
But that was not the case,I didn't get admitted to the university that year,so I waited another year but still no admission to the university again and I refuse to settle for polytechnic or college instead.
But I kept applying until seven years had passed and still no admission to the university. At this point I wanted polytechnic or college but I didn't get admitted to anything.
At this point I gave up on school,I decided to just get a business and earn a living because at this point I was frustrated, very frustrated little things made me angry. But something happened that changed my mind.
I joined a group in church and we were all asked to introduce ourselves and what we do for a living, everyone standing up to introduce themselves are graduates and when it was my turn I had no confidence in myself like….. I felt bad.
The thought of how my kids will feel when other kids introduce their mothers as lawyers, and doctors, what will mine say and how will they feel.
That moment I decided to go to school no matter what, I decided to study hard no matter what. Making money is important but education is necessary, one can't be ignored.
And honestly being educated gives confidence, boldness, and allows us to enter places without being disrespected.
Right now I am about to finish my final in college and honestly I most times wish I went earlier because I would have finished my college and farther to the University. Giving up is not an option, when you are tired, rest and continue.

I believe God has a purpose for why things don't work as planned as we expected them, and in such moments, we should always believe God will work it out for good for us when it's the right time. I want to believe that was it for you. Glad you didn't give up, too.

You went through a lot to get to this point in school. But all things work out for good... Thankfully, you're now finishing. It's what's important. And yes, we shouldn't give up, when we're tired, we can rest and then continue.
