Last week was really a good-bad week for me due to some mistakes I made.
As a young lady that is trying to find my feet, know my worth and know what I want. There is this woman that we are both working together in a secondary school. She is a married woman and of course she is older than me. The biggest mistake I made is that I'm vulnerable to her. I do tell her about the things I'm facing, what I want to do and all that.
So fast, forward to last week Monday, I told her that I want to process a certificate, that my mind is just telling me that I will need it anytime soon, and she advised me against it, telling me that what will I do with the certificate, she also said I can use the money for other pressing things at hand in which I listened to her and that was my biggest mistake.
Now, just yesterday a friend of mine called me to tell me that he has an offer for me if I have the particular certificate I'm talking about and that the payment is huge.
I was just dumbfounded and regretting my actions. I wished I had listened to my instincts and followed what my mind told me to do. It was the biggest mistake I made last week.
And I think this should serve as a lesson to others, which means whatever you have to do, do it at the right time. Follow your instincts and be careful of the advice you are listening to. If I hadn't listened to her I would have got the job by now.
