Vaya año,
Parece que las cosas van cada vez más rápido, es como si ya estuviéramos acostumbrados a la vertiginosa evolución que está teniendo todo a nuestro al rededor. Ha sido un año de mucho provecho en HIVE, hemos visto como nuevas Dapps se han integrado a la cadena de bloques, emergentes e ingeniosas soluciones en materia tecnológica han hecho de hive un excelente terreno fértil para la innovación.
Resumir en un solo post lo que ha pasado en el 2021 es todo un reto la verdad, sin embargo en esta entrada les contaré un poco como fue mi año y que nuevas perspectivas tengo sobre lo que está por venir.
What a year, It seems that things are going faster and faster, it is as if we are already used to the dizzying evolution that everything around us is having. It has been a very profitable year in HIVE, we have seen how new Dapps have been integrated to the blockchain, emerging and ingenious solutions in technology have made hive an excellent fertile ground for innovation.To summarize in a single post what has happened in 2021 is quite a challenge the truth, however in this post I will tell you a bit how my year was and what new perspectives I have about what is to come.
Recapitulemos un poco…
Ya han pasado dos largos años y algunos meses desde el masivo confinamiento, no obstante, esta “mala situación” ha servido, al menos para mi, para pensar en nuevas ideas y formas de hacer las cosas, de hecho, fue este gran freno en el transcurso de la rutina que retomé la plataforma y desde entonces me he mantenido bastante activo, especialmente en los últimos meses.
Let's recap a little bit...
It's been two long years and a few months since the massive confinement, however, this "bad situation" has served, at least for me, to think of new ideas and ways of doing things, in fact, it was this big brake in the course of the routine that I resumed the platform and since then I have remained quite active, especially in recent months.
Pues si, la cuarentena aún continua y parece que las cosas están mejorando pero no tenemos un regreso definitivo a lo que respecta nuestra “normalidad”, quien sabe, quizás las cosas no vuelvan a ser lo que alguna vez fueron, lo cierto es que en estos duros momentos es cuando nuestra capacidad para adaptarnos a los cambios es puesta a prueba.
Well yes, the quarantine still continues and it seems that things are improving but we do not have a definitive return to what concerns our "normality", who knows, maybe things will not return to what they once were, the truth is that in these hard times is when our ability to adapt to change is put to the test.
En lo personal, este 2021 estuvo bastante interesante, inicie el proyecto Chess Brothers junto a mi hermano @sawko, posteriormente con nuestro compañero @eniolw decidimos implementarlo en Hive (@chessbrotherspro) pues claro, esta blockchain es nuestra morada digital; ciertamente hay muchos detalles que seguir afinando pero ya estamos en marcha y esperamos seguir creciendo en este magnifico mundo del ajedrez, el fitness y las criptomonedas, para más información sobre este proyecto puedes consultar el siguiente enlace
Personally, this 2021 was quite interesting, I started the Chess Brothers project with my brother @sawko, later with our friend @eniolw we decided to implement it in Hive (@chessbrotherspro) because of course, this blockchain is our digital abode; certainly there are many details to continue refining but we are already underway and we hope to continue growing in this magnificent world of chess, fitness and cryptocurrencies, for more information on this project you can consult the following link
Siguiendo con el desarrollo de mi 2021, muchas de las competencias internacionales que tenía pautada para el año en curso fueron suspendidas por el tema del covid, sin embargo, estas competencias fueron llevadas al internet y pudimos jugar muchas partidas importantes para representar a nuestro país Venezuela y dar los mejores resultados. El 2020 fue como ese año en donde se experimentaron los cambios más radicales en materia de ajedrez pues jugar en linea a nivel competitivo se convirtió en todo un reto, aún así se pudo seguir adelante y este 2021 esa fue la norma, nos adaptamos a los cambio y aquí estamos, más fuertes que nunca!
Continuing with the development of my 2021, many of the international competitions that I had scheduled for the current year were suspended due to the issue of covid, however, these competitions were taken to the internet and we were able to play many important games to represent our country Venezuela and give the best results. The 2020 was like that year where we experienced the most radical changes in chess because playing online at a competitive level became a challenge, yet we were able to move forward and this 2021 that was the norm, we adapted to the changes and here we are, stronger than ever!
Un giro positvo
A mediados de año se empezó a perfilar un fuerte combatiente contra el virus, la vacuna llegaba y con ello los ánimos volvieron a subir un poco, esto permitió que las personas pudieran proteger y fortalecer el sistema inmunológico, gradualmente se pudo ir retomando las actividades de costumbre, de hecho, el evento más importante de nuestro ciclo competitivo “La paralimpiada de ajedrez para personas con discapacidad visual” fue anunciada para ser llevada a cabo en Grecia, evento al cual estuvimos a punto de asistir pero por ciertos problemas administrativos no pudimos competir en este magno evento.
Como ven las cosas han ido mejorando pero siempre está ese factor no tan positivo que dificulta desarrollar de manera efectiva nuestras intensiones.
Nos sacudimos la decepción de no poder jugar en Grecia y continuamos nuestro camino.
A positive turnaround
In the middle of the year a strong combatant against the virus began to take shape, the vaccine arrived and with it the spirits rose again a little, this allowed people to protect and strengthen the immune system, gradually we were able to resume the usual activities, in fact, the most important event of our competitive cycle "The paralympics of chess for people with visual impairment" was announced to be held in Greece, event which we were about to attend but due to certain administrative problems we could not compete in this great event. As you can see things have been improving but there is always that not so positive factor that makes it difficult to effectively develop our intentions.We shook off the disappointment of not being able to play in Greece and continued on our way.
A mediados de Julio jugamos en el hotel Humbolt la gran final de ajedrez “Batalla de Carabobo”, un evento del cual formé parte como organizador y jugador. Toda una odisea, no se los recomiendo jajaj hacer estas dos cosas a la ves no es tan fácil como suena, mi rendimiento en este torneo no fue el más brillante pero pude compartir con amigos y retomar el tacto del tablero luego de un buen tiempo sin tener interacción. En este evento me rencontré con mis estimados @tony1294 y @rosmarly a quienes pude reclutar y convertir en nuevos hivers jajaja, muy contento de tenerlos aquí en la colmena.
In mid-July we played in the Humbolt Hotel the grand final of chess "Battle of Carabobo", an event of which I was part as organizer and player. Quite an odyssey, I do not recommend you hahaha doing these two things at the same time is not as easy as it sounds, my performance in this tournament was not the most brilliant but I could share with friends and retake the touch of the board after a long time without interaction. In this event I met again with my dear @tony1294 and @rosmarly who I was able to recruit and convert into new hivers hahaha, very happy to have them here in the hive.
Luego de este torneo volvimos parcialmente al confinamiento, en estos meses continué entrenando ajedrez en casa y jugando por internet. Finalizando Noviembre se nos dio la oportunidad de viajar a Colombia para representar al país en el Panamericano de ajedrez visual, es un poco irónico ya que he viajado a varios países de Europa pero esta es la primera vez que viajo a un país de latinoamericano y mi experiencia fue extraordinaria, bueno al principio fue un poco engorroso pues nos desplazamos por tierra y el viaje fue muy agotador pero al final de cuentas el equipo pudo ganar el evento y eso es lo más importante, en este post hablo más en detalle de dicha experiencia.
A groso modo así fue mi 2021 en la parte ajedrecista, muy contento de los logros obtenidos, a pesar de los múltiples altibajos las cosas siempre tienden a terminar bien pero debemos dar siempre ese empujón con el mejor de los esfuerzos y dedicación.
After this tournament we returned partially to confinement, in these months I continued training chess at home and playing online. At the end of November we were given the opportunity to travel to Colombia to represent the country in the Pan American visual chess tournament, it is a little ironic because I have traveled to several countries in Europe but this is the first time I travel to a Latin American country and my experience was extraordinary, well at first it was a little cumbersome because we moved by land and the trip was very tiring but in the end the team was able to win the event and that is the most important, in this post I talk more in detail about this experience. Roughly so was my 2021 in the chess part, very happy with the achievements, despite the many ups and downs things always tend to end well but we must always give that push with the best of efforts and dedication.

En cuanto a los acontecimientos en HIVE, 2021 fue un salto enorme para la cadena de bloques, muchos de los activos y tokens que circulan en esta red se han revalorizado enormemente. El año pasado compré unas 16 tierras del juego de Splinterlands, ya todos saben el crecimiento que este e-sport ha tenido durante todo el año, claro yo no pude aprovechar al máximo todos esos golpes especulativos de precio pero siempre tengo un ojo atento a las nuevas actualizaciones que vienen en camino.

As for the happenings at HIVE, 2021 was a huge leap for the blockchain, many of the assets and tokens circulating on this network have appreciated in value tremendously. Last year I bought about 16 lands of the Splinterlands game, you all know the growth this e-sport has had throughout the year, of course I couldn't take full advantage of all those speculative price hits but I always keep an eye out for new updates coming on the way.
Hablando propiamente de hive, también nuestro token de gobernanza ha tenido una buena subida y eso es genial, seguimos a la expectativa de como irán las cosas especialmente para principios de Enero cuando tendrá lugar el claim drop que SPK network llevará a cabo.
Speaking properly of hive, also our governance token has had a nice uptick and that's great, we are still in expectation of how things will go especially for early January when the claim drop that SPK network will be holding will take place.
En términos generales, calificaría mi 2021 como bastante bueno, puedo decir que muchas nuevas ideas me han pasado por la mente, he obtenido más experiencia en todos los sentidos, mis ánimos y entusiasmo por aprender nuevas cosas sigue creciendo, espero que el 2022 venga cargado con nuevas oportunidades.
Overall, I would rate my 2021 as pretty good, I can say that many new ideas have crossed my mind, I have gained more experience in every way, my spirits and enthusiasm to learn new things keeps growing, I hope that 2022 will come loaded with new opportunities.

A few days ago @rosmarly visited my city, the beautiful Santa Ana de Coro and we spent some incredible days visiting several interesting places in Falcon State, this week was very busy and in the video that I share with you I make a compilation of the tourist destinations visited. It seems to me that there is no better way to close the year than with a tour of those places that make us feel the connection with nature, this way we release stress and recharge the batteries for the new year to come.
