[ESP/ENG] Mi experiencia hasta ahora en Hive | My Hive experience so far

¡Saludos, Hive!

Greetings, Hive! Yesterday, while I was browsing around Hive, by pure chance, I stumbled upon this community, immediately the name caught my attention so I decided to enter to read what it was all about and read some posts. As the name says, this is a community to make catharsis and externalize everything that is bothering us, which suits me like a glove, because I love to complain.

But I don't complain just for the sake of it and in a somewhat negative way. No. I like to complain because it’s my way of catharsis. I usually externalize whatever I'm feeling at that moment and that leads me to a process of self-recognition, it helps me to identify what exactly is bothering/disturbing me, and when I'm done with it I keep moving on with my life.

I'm new in Hive (I think I'm almost a month old, or a month) and my experience so far has been pretty positive overall. It has helped me discover that I am good at more than just playing tuba. I say this because all my life I've been dedicated to music and I was feeling in a sort of "existential void" because I felt incapable of doing anything else.

I'm a big fan of video games and I think this has been my main motivation and interest to join Hive, it's something that I've talked about very little but I had always wanted to work in something related to video games, either stream, gameplays, or reviews. Due to a very complex economic situation in my country, Venezuela, I have been disconnected from the gaming world and for now the possibility of doing stream or gameplays is not so close, but I do not rule it out.

However, at this moment I'm doing a series of reviews of the main games of the Zelda saga (most of them are old games), and I'm very happy that these reviews have had a good acceptance from the community, with very positive comments, this motivates me to keep going.

Something that has happened to me, is that I have been pressured to publish content everyday, even feeling guilty when I don't do it (like yesterday). However, there exists the well-known "challenges" or initiatives in the community, which are a great help when it comes to having content to publish when we are short of ideas, although this can be a double-edged sword (in my opinion) because a blog full of challenges I think it wouldn’t be ideal to have, although that's a purely personal choice.

Last review I made

I think it's not necessary to have only one topic to talk about, I mean, in my case, my main focus is videogames, but I feel comfortable talking about anime, pets, and movies or series. The thing is that even having several topics that I could talk about there are times when creativity is simply at 0, I end up putting too much pressure on myself to write and publish something and in the end I either make a bad post or I don't publish anything at all. I could easily write about videogames everyday, but I feel that it would take away diversity from the blog, I guess the right thing to do is to find the balance in terms of the material to publish, and that will eventually come with experience.

As I mentioned above, one of the things I enjoy most about Hive is exploring abilities to do other things, especially since I'm feeling pretty bad professionally at the moment, I'm pretty far away from my instrument and music in general. I feel I'm good at writing, I like to do a good layout on posts and share opinions with a lot of great people I've met here. I still have a lot to understand about Hive, as well as I would like to learn about writing or even journalism (because of the reviews) but I'll see how the situation unfolds.

I don't know if this post is a vent, a catharsis, or an opinion about my experience here, what I do know is that it won't be the last time that I come to this community to talk about a less "planned" part of my life.
