Diario de un alérgico CRÓNICO 🤧 / Diary of a CHRONIC allergic

in Catarsislast year

All people tend to have one or another bad day in our week or month, sometimes it is more than one day, it all depends on how much we can be exposed to stressful situations and how well we know how to manage our emotions. However, there is a group of people that from time to time we have super heavy days or days and many times it is out of our hands to feel better; I will call it the Chronic Allergy Sufferers Team.

One of the most unpleasant things that I can experience frequently, apart from the sickness, is allergy, God, I swear it is something very desperate and frustrating not to be able to have control over it because as I mentioned above, it is out of my hands.

Explaining what it feels like to have allergy is very complicated, it manifests itself in different ways and not all of us present it in the same way; in my case I don't get it for swelling up, I get it for having distemper to say enough, so I am always in a continuous aspiration of air through my nose, this is usually very uncomfortable both for me and for the people around me because it is a sound that stresses, besides that because there are so many viruses nowadays, people associate it a lot to a flu, but in reality it is not.

I really want to tear my nose off when it happens to me, and yes, right now I have allergy, I have not been able to concentrate all day because I have had it so strong, and it completely knocks me down, it takes away my strength, my eyes get irritated, sometimes my nose breaks because of so much friction, it's horrible, I want to kill people haha and the worst thing .... It makes me hungry in a very asinine way.

I was not always like this, when I was a child I did not suffer from allergy, but after the tragedy of 99 everything changed. To give you an idea of what I am talking about, in the year 1999 in the state of Vargas there was a terrible natural disaster that affected the entire state leaving many human losses and millions in material losses, this as a result brought with it a lot of dust that was not normally in the environment, thus affecting many people so many individuals began to suffer from *asthma, allergies, skin diseases *, among others, this was explained to me by a doctor who treated me.

So, there were some years where I was very happy and others where I had to suffer from this terrible disease. In my adolescence it was worse, every day I had it and it was very difficult for me to sleep because my nose was completely blocked and the allergy was becoming immune to allergy medicines. When I started college this affectation increased because the change of weather is one of the things that affects me the most, for this reason I had to start a fairly strong and lasting treatment that for economic reasons I could not finish because it was quite expensive, however I improved a lot, that does not mean that I do not get bad now, just not as often as before. The treatment consisted of two different antiallergic pills, a splash for the nose and a vaccine, the pills and the splash were daily while the vaccine was daily; the duration depended on the degree of allergy, in my case it was for 3 years and I could only afford 6 months.

The allergy becomes the basis for the formation of other pathologies linked to it, for example I have a deviated septum and suffer from sinusitis, so when the allergy gives me very strong there is no lack of a heavy *headache, pressure in the face, sore throat, cough ... * Very strong all and really stressful. I have to have surgery, it is an uncomfortable and painful operation that does not guarantee to leave it behind, on the contrary, people relapse and sometimes they are worse, so I think about it a lot, but it is something that sooner or later must be done because the mucus clings to different places of the face and each time it will be worse.

Living with a chronic allergy is not easy, at least for me even food gives me *allergy$, rice, pasta, chicken, meat, whatever you can imagine, but I can't stop eating. Fortunately I didn't come out allergic to medications, that's a positive point, I didn't come out allergic to women either, even more positive haha; but something really crazy is that I didn't come out allergic to cats, almost everyone is allergic to cats and I'm not, how crazy.

There is a sensation that I do not know how to explain, but when I feel it, I know that I am going to get an allergy, and it is ipso facto, it is a warning that I have to look for my little cloth and prepare myself mentally for the martyrdom that I have to go through.

Although with time one gets to know that it can calm it down a little or make it worse, in my case the constant bathing, drinking very cold water, eating sweet or salty things calm it down; the heat makes it worse and I live in the Guaira 🤡, the humidity and being surrounded by people, I think the latter is mental, but it makes me feel worse. I think for me it's like when women get their period, because it lasts 3 to 5 days and I want to kill people hahaha.

Please, if you live with or share with a chronic allergy sufferer, do not pressure him, do not be on top of him, that person is fighting an internal battle with a very strong discomfort that can not be explained, perhaps many believe that it is something gafo, but those who suffer from it in a very strong way know how uncomfortable and difficult it is to deal with this.

If you suffer from allergies, whether strong or not very strong, go to an allergist, it is a good investment and you prevent things that in the future can get worse. I hope at some point to stop being a member, but for now and for a long time I will remain Team De Los Alérgicos Crónicos

Please, if you live with or share with a chronic allergy sufferer, do not pressure him,

You are right. People like these should be pampered instead of taking advantage of them.

Buen post @esalcedo
