Like a fog that prevents us from seeing

From time to time we feel our mistakes, covered by a dense fog that does not allow us to see, we look for any justification not to recognize them. Sometimes it is easier for us to see those of others, for that we do take time, analyze, question and even condemn. But when it comes to us, we want to be considered, we want people to put themselves in our place and understand our reasons. If not, we feel attacked, betrayed and end up angry with others. I understand that both things are not easy, but life gives us the opportunity to learn from experiences, let's not be stubborn, let's not refuse changes, those that help us to relate better, to be more empathetic and at times to want to overlook any mistake that others make.

It is true that many people hurt us in a premeditated way, they make scars that are difficult to erase, but should we be the ones who carry for life with the consequences of the bad actions of these people, the truth does not seem logical to me, I am one of those who think that every mistake brings a consequence, the fairest thing is that it is the person who carries the burden of conscience. When we are victims or prey of this type of people, we should not show them for any reason that they have the power to control our reactions or emotions, that is something that we should not give in to anyone.

On the other hand there are people who without any bad intention could also hurt us, either with words, actions or any situation that without realizing it, end up making us have a bad time. What should we do in these cases? The healthiest thing would be to talk and tell the other person how we feel at that moment, it is there where in a reasonable way the other party will realize that what he did or said was not right, if he appreciates us and values our friendship or any link that we have with him, he will need to apologize and prevent things like that from happening again. For all this requires sincere affection, courage and humility, things that for now many people have decided not to cultivate, because they think that make them place themselves in an inferior position in relation to others. This is totally false, whoever apologizes for his mistakes in a sincere way, shows the greatness of his heart, the gentleness he has as a person and the genuine interest he feels to get along with others, making it clear with his actions that he values and understands that he needs others so that his life is full of pleasant moments, where support is a magnet of productive things that acceptance allows him to have a peaceful party.

On many occasions we hear these phrases very firmly: "I do not care what others think of me", "I am not a golden coin to please everyone" "my happiness does not depend on anyone" and many others that point to self-centeredness, that feeling that makes you feel superior to others and that does not allow you to accept your mistakes, your selfishness and your lack of respect for others.

It is there where we ask ourselves with much concern, is it worth leading a life like that? full of conflicts, differences with others that rob us of our peace of mind and end up ruining our day, a day that we can see as a new opportunity that we should all be grateful for and value, wasting it on useless things would be foolish. Let's be realistic, and accept that we do care what others say or think about us. There is a big difference when we hear someone say, "you are a good neighbor, you are always willing to help, you are a person who does not have heated arguments with anyone in the neighborhood, to listen, that we are problematic people who have problems with all the neighbors or that we do not get along with anyone, because of our bad character". Isn't it true that there is a marked difference between one thing and another?

Of course, with this I do not mean that we should all be the same, that would be impossible, the diversity of the human being is something that is well defined and respected. But it is worthwhile to know how to choose what we want in our lives. Decisions always belong to each one of us, whether they are good or bad, we will enjoy them or we will pay the price. By itself life is complicated enough, comparing our before and our now, we feel that the world is upside down, unusual things happen every day and we do not escape the astonishment of overwhelming situations that live very closely our friends, family and all kinds of people.

Life changes in the blink of an eye, what was once unimportant is now gone and we miss it desperately. Many of us worked in big companies, we had good salaries and we had the luxury of buying everything we wanted, we indulged ourselves in many occasions by traveling and enjoying a good vacation, we gave help because we had enough money even for that. Today it is different, many invent some new work strategies that end up frustrated and depressed, because they do not meet their expectations. Money is barely enough for what is strictly necessary, and even so, many of us share with others who are in worse conditions, the little we have.

So, what role does people's pride play in situations like these? They prefer to go through precarious situations alone, because their pride does not allow them to recognize that if they need a helping hand, that it is worthwhile to support each other, that "today for me tomorrow for you", is what is most abundant in these times. Friends readers of Hive, it is time to change our visions, the scene of this world is different, it is up to us to adapt to the times we live in and with great dignity to face them, of course, without the need to humiliate the less favored.

It will always be good to stop and look first at how we are leading our lives, where we are heading and what results we will obtain. While we do so, let us look with patience, empathy and love to all those who are also trying despite their mistakes, that makes them stronger and braver. For with their attempts time after time they admit that they do not want to give up, that they follow the path next to those who are willing to have the same attitude, understanding that if we are docile and we all unite for a good cause, even if the fog exists we will be able to advance, because it becomes an obstacle that with our good disposition we were able to demolish. Let us remember that before demanding we must give, that with our good example we will have the moral to give recommendations with the intention of helping those who are determined to improve their lifestyle.
