Siempre hay que actuar alejado de las emociones, no son buenos consejeros los sentimientos al momento de tomar decisiones que pueden determinar nuestra vida. Los periódicos están llenos de casos de personas que terminan en la cárcel o muertas por dejarse llevar por aquello que sienten en el momento determinado en que debieron tomar una decisión, por lo general los mayores errores se cometen por amor y por odio, las páginas de obituarios siempre albergan algún crimen pasional, aunque actualmente están de moda los crímenes por odio, por racismo, por fascismo, por esas cosas que permite la intolerancia y el sentimiento intenso de no poder convivir con alguien.
Muchas veces esos sentimientos intensos que nos invaden por otras personas como el amor o el odio pueden ser controlados, pero es más fácil dejarse llevar por la corriente que nadar contra ella. Las personas usualmente se dejan llevar por la intensidad de sus sentimientos porque no conocen que tienen uso de razón justamente para ese rol principal en nuestra alma, poder controlar mediante ella a los sentimientos, la razón no se usa para determinar si soy más capaz o feliz o inteligente que otro, sino por el contrario se usa para delimitar lo que yo siento o pueda pensar de otros y de mí mismo, pero uno de los roles fundamentales es la delimitación de los sentimientos.
Precisamente para evitar que el alma pueda padecer algún mal, es que la razón ilumina y esclarece nuestro camino nublado por la neblina espesa de los sentimientos, cuanto más intenso es un sentimiento o una emoción más espesa es la neblina que tapa nuestro camino; la razón sería nuestro farol para alumbrar las tinieblas y avanzar por el camino. Caminar sin ver es un peligro para el cuerpo porque puede resultar dañado de una u otra forma, puede tropezar y caer, puede chocar contra una pared, o puede caminar directamente hacia un acantilado y morir, o también caminar una ruta que desoriente y haga que se pierda; incluso los invidentes necesitan de algo para guiar sus pasos, la razón es el bastón de los ciegos y el farol de los videntes.
Hay personas que hablan mal de la razón y enaltecen los sentidos, hablan de ella como si fuera algo malo sentarse a analizar las cosas con la mente fría para hacer las cosas correctas, estas son las personas que generalmente asesinarían a alguien a sangre fría en un ataque colérico de ira causado por el odio o por la traición de un amor. Esas personas que hablan de vivir sintiendo al máximo son las que deberíamos de temerles porque en realidad no tienen conciencia de las cosas que hacen por dejarse llevar por lo que sienten y no por lo que piensan, son como bestias en el desierto que atacarían instintivamente a quien le amenace, de igual forma estos por instinto actuarían ante el mínimo sentimiento. Sería un buen consejo no prestarle dinero a estas personas porque lo van a gastar instintivamente y no van a pensar en devolverlo (Risas).
Sentir amor o sentir odio nos demuestra que no somos unas rocas en el río o una montaña en la cordillera de Los Andes, somos personas que tenemos vida, y precisamente como personas que se diferencian de los animales tenemos la ventaja de hacer el uso de la razón para los casos en que los instintos se apoderan de nosotros y poder obrar bien o sino haremos alguna cosa mala, y me disculpan si me pongo maniqueísta, pero las fuerzas del bien y del mal han existido siempre y frecuentemente se determinan en nuestras acciones; también hay quienes dicen que los animales tienen razón pero se equivocan, un perro puede ser tan amigo de Adolf Hitler y amarlo que sería capaz de entregar su vida por él, es decir, no tienen sentido para diferenciar lo que está bien de lo que está mal, sólo actúan por instinto y no tienen capacidad para actuar ideológicamente como lo hicieron Heinrich Himmler, Joseph Goebbels o Josef Mengele, simplemente aquel que cuide de ellos como animales domésticos son quienes se ganan su afecto y apreciación, están desconectados de los conceptos y son incapaces de comprender un concepto humano. De la misma manera los humanos que viven a través de las emociones y los sentimientos, sin hacer uso de la razón para delimitarlos, son como los perros de Hitler, actuando por instinto doméstico en su vida.
Por eso es fundamental siempre delimitar los sentimientos y emociones a través de la razón para poder tomar decisiones que más se acerquen a lo correcto, cometamos la menor cantidad de errores posibles, y de tomar una mala decisión ya hemos previsto las repercusiones negativas y podemos actuar conforme a lo que nos dictamine nuestro pensamiento. Pensar es difícil, pero sentir te puede doler toda la vida si no haces el mínimo esfuerzo por pensar las cosas en frío antes de realizarlas, es por eso que el asesino del Zodiaco y Jack el Destripador nunca fueron atrapados por la justicia, porque no actuaban por instinto sino por uso excesivo de la razón que les llevó a tomar las mejores decisiones para sus macabros fines, así como también hay personas que usan la razón para mejores cosas como ganar dinero en la bolsa o en los negocios de la forma en que la hizo Chris Gardner o la familia Rockefeller, o usan la razón para conocer las virtudes del hombre y le traen los más grandes conocimientos a la humanidad como lo hizo Sócrates, Platón y Aristóteles. La razón es usada para muchos fines que tienen una base fundamental que sería la delimitación de los sentimientos y emociones.
We must always act away from emotions, feelings are not good advisors when making decisions that can determine our life. The newspapers are full of cases of people who end up in jail or dead for being carried away by what they feel at the moment they should have made a decision, usually the biggest mistakes are committed by love and hate, the obituary pages always contain some crime of passion, although currently are fashionable hate crimes, racism, fascism, for those things that allows intolerance and the intense feeling of not being able to live with someone.
Many times those intense feelings that invade us for other people like love or hate can be controlled, but it is easier to be carried away by the current than to swim against it. People usually get carried away by the intensity of their feelings because they do not know that they have use of reason precisely for that main role in our soul, to be able to control through it the feelings, reason is not used to determine if I am more capable or happier or smarter than another, but on the contrary it is used to delimit what I feel or can think of others and myself, but one of the fundamental roles is the delimitation of feelings.
Precisely to prevent the soul from suffering any evil, reason illuminates and clarifies our path clouded by the thick fog of feelings, the more intense a feeling or emotion is, the thicker the fog that covers our path; reason would be our lantern to light the darkness and advance along the way. Walking without seeing is a danger to the body because it can be damaged in one way or another, you can stumble and fall, you can hit a wall, or you can walk straight into a cliff and die, or also walk a route that disorients and makes you get lost; even the blind need something to guide their steps, reason is the cane of the blind and the lantern of the sighted.
There are people who speak ill of reason and exalt the senses, they speak of it as if it were a bad thing to sit down and analyze things with a cold mind to do the right things, these are the people who would generally murder someone in cold blood in a choleric attack of anger caused by hatred or by the betrayal of a love. Those people who talk about living feeling to the fullest are the ones we should fear because in reality they have no conscience of the things they do because they let themselves be carried away by what they feel and not by what they think, they are like beasts in the desert that would instinctively attack whoever threatens them, in the same way they would instinctively act at the slightest feeling. It would be good advice not to lend money to these people because they will spend it instinctively and they will not think about paying it back (laughs).
Feeling love or feeling hate shows us that we are not rocks in the river or a mountain in the Andes, we are people who have life, and precisely as people who differ from animals we have the advantage of using reason in cases where instincts take over us and we can act well or else we will do something bad, and excuse me if I get Manichaeist, but the forces of good and evil have always existed and are often determined by our actions; there are also those who say that animals are right but they are wrong, a dog can be so close to Adolf Hitler and love him that he would be able to give his life for him, that is, they have no sense to differentiate what is right from what is wrong, they only act by instinct and have no capacity to act ideologically as Heinrich Himmler, Joseph Goebbels or Josef Mengele did, simply the one who takes care of them as pets are the ones who earn their affection and appreciation, they are disconnected from concepts and are incapable of understanding a human concept. That is why it is essential to always delimit feelings and emotions through reason in order to make decisions that are closer to the right thing, make as few mistakes as possible, and if we make a bad decision we have already foreseen the negative repercussions and we can act according to what our thinking dictates. Thinking is difficult, but feeling can hurt you all your life if you do not make the minimum effort to think things through coldly before doing them, that is why the Zodiac killer and Jack the Ripper were never caught by justice, because they did not act by instinct but by excessive use of reason that led them to make the best decisions for their macabre purposes, just as there are people who use reason for better things like making money in the stock market or in business the way Chris Gardner or the Rockefeller family did, or use reason to know the virtues of man and bring the greatest knowledge to mankind as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle did. Reason is used for many purposes that have a fundamental basis which would be the delimitation of feelings and emotions.
