Hello guys, I am glad to be here again after a long time. I welcome you all to sci-fi multiverse weekly activities and engagement and for this week we are in episode 2, and this week I am going to be talking about phone addiction and the side effects of it to our mental health. I am not addicted to phone, but I have still faced some side effects because I use my phone too much. Most of my stuff that I do are in my phone, my business, my school, and many more, so I am fund of using my phone regularly, but I wouldn't call it addiction because I can stop anytime I want to and I don't let it get into my way and play of the day most times.
Before I move mainly into the topic I would like to explain to you all why I said I am not addicted to my phone, I just use it most time because almost everything I have to do is related to it. Let me start with this, the fact that someone goes to work everyday and spends most of his time working, does not mean that he is addicted to work, he just have to do it to survive, to eat, and also to live a good life. So am I, I am always on my phone, but I am not addicted to it, I just have necessary things to do that has to do with my phone, my work is mostly in my phone, my school notes are mostly in PDF in my phone, so I have to always be on my phone, even when I want to relax, I play games or watch tiktok. So you can see what I meant.
Moving forward to our topic for this episode. Phone addiction is pretty bad and it affects human mental state and health. It even affects your eyes at some point, it depressiate your sense of reasoning and makes you take stuff less serious. At first it could start because you might be an introvert or maybe a lonely person, but as time goes on, you start getting used to your phone that you can't go one day without your phone and it gets worse by day. For me I feel like most matured people that are addicted to their phones are people that are brought up in similar background like me, background where they always lock you at home, they don't allow you to go out turning you to an introvert when you grow.
You see an intrvert life is less work, and they are used and fund of staying at home. And the only thing that can keep them very long at home is their phone, that's why they get addicted to their phone in no time. Guys I would have loved to say more but unfortunately this is where I would be stopping for today. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my post, and see you all next week. Bye.

Phone addiction truly affects a person's sense of reasoning as the world they are accustomed to is a fake one, but then they keep on buying what's presented there. I agree with you about how it makes people take things less serious. The current situation of insecurity that people have been making skits of is a gross result of such. Phone addiction has adverse effects and I hope many realise it and overcome.
Phone addiction starts gradually, and before you know it, it has turned uncontrollable. I remember my nephew, who will always go to the restroom with his phone and stay there for a long time; you see what addiction can cause. In the morning, his siblings will never allow him to go there in order to reduce his time consumption there.
I agree with your analysis, why some people have a lot to do with their phone that relates to work, and business, while others away time on social platforms. It is that kind of wandering that leads to addiction.
