In these weekly updates we will bring fresh content to Hive, in the form of our game coding experiences; IBT is a developing PC game - the one to have future Crypto interactions.
Puzzle Week
This week has been all about adding puzzles and moveable objects for the new characters created for IBT. In the image a bookcase that can be pushed shows a hidden area inside once moved. An added bonus is the old generic UE4 character has now gone bye bye and its now time to integrate all the widgets, code and data into the new shapes. Things are getting easier now and should speed up since all the drag and drop objects are nearly completed and the majority of the "evil code" is now over. (Or is it?)
Bridge/ Plank puzzles
Something too far away to jump to? A shelf too high perhaps and you just can't reach the top of it.
We have given some objects interaction and physics so maybe if you give something a push or simply drag something over to stand on...you may solve your problem :)
Movement
As we have been saying earlier the movement has been transferred from the generic ue4 character to the new male/female shapes and we even added some new jumping moves and other movement that does not come with the generic ue4 template setup. It has been interesting to do and we thing we now have completely worked out how to modify and add more cool stuff in the future depending on feedback.
And that's it for this week's update, some sweet, sweet game play being worked on now.
Cheers and enjoy our upgoats below, thanks to a @ryivhnn
It’s always great when you can finally see progress being made 😆
Cheers - I'm looking forward to putting some puzzles in / fun hidden goodies :)
