Over the holiday period the regular posts will be on hold due to the excess drinking and eating.. Therefore this is a quick post to say have a great and safe break -- and see you in the new year.

This weeks update

....very briefly as xmas celebrations await (hick!): this below video/thing shows (without tools in hands cause its in a debug mode) that the game can now identify what animation is needed for each resource.

Wow! that ends 2021 for posting....Gosh, where did the year go?...

hmmn. I know I will leave you with some of my favorite screenshots and some never seen before stuff (remember all of this was created for IBT.. it is original art and code - well, in some cases leveraged, but always with full permission legal/written agreement).

..Making a PC game is difficult, and next year we have a number of hard targets to hit, including, finally a full playable release.

I'll be working with the team over beers on the demo, each time we think we have the concept nailed, its replaced by a better concept haha... it's sooo hard to actually produce, but with cold beer and grit we will make it.

So here we go, here are a few of my favorite shots for the year - broken down by IBT Classic/original (this is the story driven RPG game that will follow loosely the style of the original blockchain game IBT) AND IBT Survival island (this is the main feature game, you find yourself stranded on an island and must survive etc).

Drum roll....IBT Classic/Original line up below:

Gotta love the old temple of the 'hand people'

Just something about hands..

The old classic map - straight from the original crypto RPG...

Hopefully not after xmas chow...

Boss chick (Dev 1)...

Town one (Concept/Dev)...

Docks (Concept/Game play Dev)...

Early dev chars (AI/bot attacker)

A short tour (Dev town 1)...

A look at the country landscape

Attack Concept (Concept and Code Dev)..

Foes line up (Concept art)

Items and armour and stuff..(Concept art)

Start up screen (Early Concept and code)

Story concept art

AI interactions and plots

Spooky forest (scene capture shot)

Haha so fun to look back and see how this went, its been a pleasure to share exclusively with the Hive community - all the pain, tears and joy that goes into game making; A big thanks to all the supports who have upvoted and left comments etc. We are just a small team, but determined - we have regular jobs and lives, there is no pay, they is no glory haha.. and somehow we are finding the time to do this with all the usual things, like putting out the trash, getting yelled at for neglecting house jobs..

Drum roll....Now for the main course -- The IBT Survival Island line up below:

Emu (Aussie animal art - original concept)

Aussie birdie

Aussie plants and trees

title play (concept art)

Make those chars do stuff (bow shoot - code practice)

Character back story works and concepts

Character environment and coding..

Make yourself survival kits..

Interfaces and movements

Environment designs and other stuff

Oh special note -- not related to IBT -- Support the Roach

If anyone wants to support us, we aren't the kind to ask for handouts and not good at marketing...Pfftt who needs it haha.. Personally, I do it for the joy (kindda stressful joy...hahaha)..But yeah the heavy lifting is by roach, and I feel bad, like the guy works long hours -- anyways the best way is to help roach this Xmas is to buy a copy of lordroach's original STEAM PC game. Here's a screenshot:

image.png

Designed to help kids who are struggling with learning or people who just like big open world fun. DASM is really nothing like IBT, it uses a much earlier gaming engine and was a near solo attempt of Lordroach to enter the PC game making market; Still it's a great game, I have it!!! .. and scratched my head at some of the puzzle and the story is...bizarre -- err.. anyways it is...different and fun for a challenge.

Here's a spill from Lordroach about DASM/ his first game - Oops I was suppose to post about it earlier:

IBT on the halt again, gotta do a patch for DASM Spell Quest which is available on STEAM.

If anyone not sure about this , we previously released a software package for children who love games but have difficulties in learning the alphabet, spelling and basic sentence structure. So this week is going to be a balance between DASM Spell Quest and IBT Island. (And they both use different editors agghh!) When we create software we try our absolute best to remove any bugs it contains. This is one major reason to why IBT Island has been held back on a number of occasions plus if you were with us a few months back I, (Not nige) completely burnt out a heap of our hard drives that stored months and months of IBT work and years of irreplaceable files. Even though this had a devastating effect on releasing IBT we are still not giving up. Plus I will read power packs carefully in the future and make sure that even if a plug fits, sometimes it should not go there

Hahaha err...nice one roachy..anyways if keen to help the roach, login to STEAM and do a search : World of DASM, DASM Spell Quest

ANYWAYS......

And that's it for 2021 .... we leave with 10,000 code bugs and some pretty decent multiplayer code (currently limited but early tests have our code 80%, working for 2 players).

We will also continue experimenting with different views for IBT classic/original battles.

Fighting the petty enemy's with your weapons is part of IBT Original. It's when you get to the bosses or even certain scenarios requiring interaction you get to fight or make decisions using a currently proposed turned based system (in the old style RPG fashion).

In this demo below the character selected is the Warrior. He has a friend helping that can be purchased or met at a Inn and bribed or they may even just want to join you. With your character, you will be able to customize their armor, their weapons and even their name. In the demo you can see an off screen character arrow hit our player so it can be dangerous if your not ready to battle.

Well that's it for this year -- Have a fantastic Xmas and New years; regular posts will resume soon...well, as soon as the hangover fades..

Cheers and enjoy our upgoats below, thanks to a @ryivhnn

I look forward to playing. Cheers!
Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to you and your bro + family

Good timez ahead.

Damn you got a lot done!

Yeh making a game is hard, making an animation is much easier XD

Thanks for all your support along the way...its all hard haha...at least with a game it can drive you to take some shortcuts (cut down certain graphics, reduce certain animations etc - like a balance between quality and moving forward) -- can see why most games need a large team to get a polished product.

Thanks for sharing, it's such a lovely one. I think I love the DASM.
