Thank you for doing this I have always wondered what the distribution was,
So it’s feasible to say that if you wanted to be a witness and ended up right at the bottom of the list starting out - you “may” still end up signing 1/2 blocks a month because outside the top 20 are selected too as backup. That’s a crazy beautiful demonstration of decentralisation there!
It’s always been a dream of mine since 2018.... privex may be getting a message after all ;)

Yea, if you have some votes, you will end up signing some blocks although not enough to payout for the server.
That does make sense, I guess at that stage it would be more about wanting to provide security to the network which is a good thing in of itself. A good middle ground would be what you said and it being able to pay for the server, but for me even a few blocks signed would be brilliant in terms of just being a part of the process! I think its cool as hell.
Of course not everything is about profit. If you can afford to run a server to contribute then hell, you should definitely do it. I did it too. It took me a while to start paying back the server but it was fun and rewarding.
