Nos dimos cita a la 1:30 p. m.; me dijo que sus alumnos debían escribir un cuento para presentarlo como cierre del primer proyecto de clase. Le dije que estaría 5 minutos antes, que preparara el ambiente porque lo demás lo llevaba yo; los libros y los cuentos, la información y las anécdotas. En total fueron 18 niños, una maestra y su pequeña Asly, con los que compartí una jornada literaria de cuentacuentos y de lectura, de chistes y de clase acerca de cómo se inventan las historias.
We met at 1:30 p.m.; she told me that her students had to write a story to present as the closing of the first class project. I told her that I would be there 5 minutes before, to prepare the environment because I was in charge of the rest; the books and the stories, the information and the anecdotes. In total there were 18 children, a teacher and her little Asly, with whom I shared a literary day of storytelling and reading, jokes and a lesson on how stories are invented.
A la hora de la cita empezamos; de entrada les narré, Fábula de la ratoncita presumida, del venezolano, Aquiles Nazoa; seguimos después con la lectura del cuento, La lora canora y el gato Leopoldo, del maestro @tomasjurado y pasamos luego a explicarles que para concebir una historia se necesitan tres elementos: una idea, historia y un personaje; les expliqué que la idea puede ser lógica o absurda; que la historia está entre lo real y lo imaginario; y que el personaje puede ser una persona, un animal o cualquier objetos, cosa o sentimiento.
At the time of the appointment we started; at the beginning I told them, Fábula de la ratoncita presumida, by the Venezuelan, Aquiles Nazoa; then we continued with the reading of the story, La lora canora y el gato Leopoldo, by the teacher @tomasjurado and then we explained to them that to conceive a story three elements are needed: an idea, story and a character; I explained to them that the idea can be logical or absurd; that the story is between the real and the imaginary; and that the character can be a person, an animal or any object, thing or feeling.
Después de esto les expliqué que todo cuento tiene una estructura divida en tres partes: presentación, nudo y desenlace. En la presentación nos enteramos de quiénes son los personajes, dónde sucede la historia y se vislumbra el conflicto. En el nudo desarrollamos el conflicto hasta que esté en su máximo punto; y en el desenlace contamos cómo termina la historia.
After this I explained that every story has a structure divided into three parts: presentation, plot and denouement. In the presentation we find out who the characters are, where the story takes place and we get a glimpse of the conflict. In the middle we develop the conflict until it is at its peak; and in the denouement we tell how the story ends.
Les volví a leer La lora canora y el gato Leopoldo y comenzamos el análisis para diferenciar las tres partes del cuento; ejercicio que fue muy fructífero porque como ya conocían el cuento y los conceptos, las participaciones estuvieron muy acertadas y para consolidar el aprendizaje pedí que me contaran la estructura de las historias famosos: Caperucita, Los siete chivitos y Los tres cerditos; actividad que fue muy dinámica porque como todos conocían las tramas pudieron participar.
I read them again La lora canora and the cat Leopoldo and we began the analysis to differentiate the three parts of the story; an exercise that was very fruitful because as they already knew the story and the concepts, the participations were very successful and to consolidate the learning I asked them to tell me the structure of the famous stories: Little Red Riding Hood, The Seven Little Goats and The Three Little Pigs; an activity that was very dynamic because as everyone knew the plots they were able to participate.
Al final recibieron una donación de libros de cuentos infantiles para que crearan un rincón de lectura y por su puesto nos hicimos nuestra sección de fotos. La maestra María se comprometió a invitarme al cierre del proyecto para contarles un par de cuentos y para escucharlos leer sus historias.
At the end they received a donation of children's story books to create a reading corner and of course we took our photo section. The teacher Maria promised to invite me to the closing of the project to tell them a couple of stories and to listen to them read their stories.
Hacer esto con los niños es muy divertido porque son muy nobles y espontáneos cuando se trata de jugar con ellos. Lo de narrar cuentos lo aprendí precisamente para fortalecer mis estrategias de clases; la historia, la ciencia, los diversos saberes de todas las disciplinas se aprenden con mayor facilidad cuando se las contamos en forma de cuentos porque les despierta la curiosidad, la intriga, aparte de que trabajamos todos sus sentidos porque deben escuchar, sentir, observar; una buena historia es mejor que una clase larga y cansona, por eso hay que utilizar la literatura para acompañar el proceso educativo.
Doing this with children is a lot of fun because they are very noble and spontaneous when it comes to playing with them. I learned about storytelling precisely to strengthen my classroom strategies; history, science, and the diverse knowledge of all disciplines are learned more easily when we tell them in the form of stories because it awakens their curiosity and intrigue, besides the fact that we work all their senses because they must listen, feel, and observe; a good story is better than a long and tiring class, that's why literature must be used to accompany the educational process.

Hola, @jesuspsoto. Ese tipo de actividades que se hacen con los estudiantes de ese nivel son tan significativas y trascendentales para ellos, ya que muchos se sentirán inspirados a narrar sus propios cuentos y de seguro saldrán algunos buenos escritores de ese grupo. 😊🙏🏻

Me encanta tu forma de dar la clase y motivar a los niños a que se introduzcan en el mundo de la lectura, definitivamente necesitamos más personas cultas en este mundo que cada día se sumerge más y más en la oligofrenia del regaetón y las cosas básicas pero solo lo podemos lograr cultivando nuestra mente, leyendo y creando, porque no solo los exhortas a leer, sino a que entiendan como funciona la literatura para que ellos sepan como crear sus propias historias. ¡Bravo!
