Cost Benefit Analysis Udemy Course

in Economics4 years ago

Hi Everyone,

CBA_COVER_Hive.jpg

I have recently launched my new Cost Benefit Analysis Udemy Course. In my post Content to be included in my CBA Udemy Course, I describe the content in each unit/lecture. Since that post, I have completed the remainder of the course. The course contains over 10 hours of video, over 60 downloadable resources, over 40 multiple-choice questions, 2 sample case studies, 1 practice CBA, life time access and a certificate on completion. The course is priced at the Tier 1 price of £20. I believe it is frequently available at half-price.

The main selling point of the course is my own level of expertise. I have worked as an economist since 2007. For about 10 years, I specialised in cost benefit analysis (CBA). I have conducted well over 50 CBAs for projects and programs. The total investment costs of these projects and programs add up to billions of dollars. I have also written several papers for conferences and peer-reviewed journals. There are very few economists with my level of expertise and experience in CBA. Below is the link to the promotional video for this course.

I have created an additional promotional video, which goes into a bit more detail about the course itself. I suggest that you look at this video as well; see the link below.

More information about the course

The course has been divided into four sections. See as follows:

  • Introducing Cost Benefit Analysis
  • Preparing a Cost Benefit Analysis
  • Conducting a Cost Benefit Analysis
  • Understanding Cost Benefit Analysis

Course Introduction

Above is the course introduction video. This is the first unit of the course. The video introduces me and explains my background in economics and cost benefit analysis. The video describes the intended audience for the course as well as what they might get out of it. The video moves on to the course structure. It outlines the content of the four sections.

Course Summary

Above is the course summary video. This is the second from last video in the course. The video provides a brief run through of all the previous units/lectures of the course. The video captures the main points from these videos. This video is a great summary but I also believe it could be very useful for anyone deciding if the content of the course is suited to his or her needs.

Beautiful, I think finally it's ready after a long time. Well I watched the first two video to understand what CBA could offer extra to a person who's not a practitioner. I'm really not that vast in economics infact I only started writing about it when I started reading your content. But then practicing since 2007? That's huge, the level of experience is astonishing. well there's no way we won't need to apply CBA in everyday life and well like you said minimize the spending and maximize the utility for what's spent on. Thanks again

Next on, I'll just check the course summary video then. Thanks for making it easier

Well seems I can get access for free with that deadline. Thanks again Wayne, I'll check it all out.

Hey great, thanks for signing up.

Given my background, I feel I am an ideal fit to present a CBA course. I also noticed that Udemy does not have any courses purely focused on CBA. It is possible it could be considered a niche market but CBA can be so broadly applied and there are so many jobs that require at least some knowledge of CBA.

Wow, that looks impressive.

And awesome that you let the people from hive access it for free this month.

I aim to prioritize Hive users especially those that have supported my content all this time.

That is really cool.

Really, very good efforts and i think it will be very essential course for financial analyst.

Financial analysts should have some knowledge of CBA. It is possible that a CBA could become an extension to a financial analysis.
