APERTURA DEL PRIMER SALON REGIONAL DE ARTE EMERGENTE [ENG/ESP]

Hola HIVE espero que todos se encuentren muy bien disfrutando del arte en todas sus expresiones.
A week ago I made a publication where I share a little about what the experience of setting up an art exhibition was like, since, in this time of absence from my hiveblog, I was selected to participate in a group exhibition in the first regional emerging art salon in the country's capital. Today I have come to share with you what the experience was like at the opening of this collective exhibition of emerging young artists.
Hace una semana realice una publicación en donde les comparto un poco de cómo fue la experiencia del montaje de una exposición de arte, ya que, en este tiempo de ausencia de mi hiveblog, fui seleccionado para participar en una muestra colectiva en el primer salón regional de arte emergente en la capital del país. Hoy les he venido a compartir como fue la experiencia que viví en la apertura de esta exposición colectiva de artistas jóvenes emergentes.
The meeting took place at the Museum of Fine Arts in the city of Caracas, as part of the activities and exhibitions of the Biennial of the South; the directors of the museum and the curators responsible for the exhibition began the meeting with a speech full of comforting words, presented the 21 participants of the collective exhibition and then we proceeded to go up to the fourth floor of the modern building of the Museum of Fine Arts, where the exhibition hall that housed our creative proposals was located.
El encuentro se efectuó en el museo de Bellas Artes en la ciudad de Caracas sumándose en el marco de las actividades y exposiciones de la bienal del sur; los directivos del museo y las curadoras responsables de la exposición dieron inicio al encuentro con un discurso lleno de palabras reconfortantes, presentaron a los 21 participantes de la muestra colectiva y luego procedimos a subir al cuarto piso del edificio moderno del museo de Bellas Artes, en donde estaba ubicada la sala expositiva que albergo nuestras propuestas creativas.
To go up there were elevators, but there is also a ramp that serves to ascend to the upper floors, it was convenient that everyone go up by the ramps since there are two installation proposals that were on display at the end of the ramp on the fourth floor (one of those proposals is the one I was exhibiting) the first installation was by a friend from the university, well I think most of us were students of UNEARTE.
Para subir había ascensores, pero también hay una rampla que sirve para ascender a los pisos superiores, era conveniente que todos subieran por las ramplas ya que hay dos propuestas instalativas que se encontraban expuestas al final de la rampla en el cuarto piso (una de esa propuesta es la que yo estaba exponiendo) la primera instalación era de una amiga de la universidad, bueno creo que la mayoría éramos estudiantes de la UNEARTE.
The second installation the public encountered was the one I presented, "METRO-VERSE." In this post, I explain a bit about the concept of that artistic proposal. I loved the reception my piece received; it generated exactly what I hoped it would in the public, and all without me having to explain it. La segunda instalación con que el público se encontró fue la que yo presente, el "METRO-VERSO", en este post explico un poco del concepto de esa propuesta artística. Me encanto la recepción que tuvo mi pieza, genero lo que espere que generara en el público y todo eso sin yo tener que explicarla. Then we came to the lobby of the exhibition hall, where there were several artistic displays, including photographs, collages, and other installations. We stayed there for a moment to take pictures of the exhibition hall's promotional poster.
Luego nos encontramos con el lobby de la sala expositiva, allí se encontraban varias propuestas artísticas como fotografías, collage y otra propuesta instalativas. ahí nos quedamos un momento para tomar fotografías en el cartel de presentación del salón expositivo.
Inside the exhibition hall were the rest of the creative wonders displayed at this first regional emerging art salon. I apologize for not having more photos showing everyone who attended the event. The reason is that when I arrived that day, my piece was malfunctioning because it has a mechanism that generates movement. While I was fixing that, the visitors were already exploring the exhibition, and by the time I finished my tour, the place was much emptier.
Dentro de la sala de exposición se encontraban el resto de las maravillas creativas que se expusieron en este primer salón regional de arte emergente. me disculpo que no tengo más fotografías en donde se vean todas las personas que asistieron al encuentro, lo que paso es que ese día cuando llegué, mi pieza estaba presentando algunas fallas ya que tiene un mecanismo que genera un movimiento, mientras que yo estuve resolviendo eso, los visitantes estaban recorriendo la exposición y cuando hice mi recorrido el lugar ya estaba más vacío.
On this occasion, many diverse techniques that make up the new means of expression of contemporary art were presented, including video art, video installation, assemblage, collage, photography, installation, ceramics, and traditional painting. In truth, there were 21 wonderful proposals full of identity and youth, a fresh approach to critical thinking in contemporary art.
En esta ocasión se presentaron muchas técnicas diversas que componen los nuevos medios de expresión de la contemporaneidad, se presentaron técnicas como videoarte, videoinstalación, ensamblaje, collage, fotografía, instalación, cerámica, pintura tradicional, la verdad que fueron 21 propuestas maravillosas llenas de identidad y juventud, frescura para el pensamiento crítico en el arte contemporáneo.
This was an incredible experience that I was thrilled to have, and it was also my first exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts. What better way to start? Being selected for this art show makes me realize that I'm now a "serious" artist, and I've just been admitted to that small and exclusive circle of so-called "visual artists." This was just the first day of an exhibition that lasted almost six months. I'll soon be sharing some of the activities that were held to encourage visits to the exhibition. Esta fue una experiencia increíble que me fascino poder vivir y que además fue mi primera exposición en el museo de Bellas Artes, que mejor forma de comenzar en esto, para mi haber quedado seleccionado para este salón de arte me hace saber que ahora soy un artista "serio" y me acaban de dejar entrar en ese pequeño y exclusivo circulo de los llamados "artistas plásticos". Este fue solo el primer día de una exposición que duro casi 6 meses en sala, pronto estaré compartiendo algunas de las actividades que se fueron realizando para incentivar las visitas a la exposición, espero les haya gustado esta experiencia, buenas vibras.
