“ NOBODY KNOWS THAT I........... : I AM A TOTAL QUEEN MAXIMA FAN
WHO IS QUEEN MAXIMA?
Well if you don’t know you haven’t been watching royal news. She is so much but a great personality AND mum at best.
Queen Máxima has been the wife of King Willem-Alexander since 2 February 2002. We all remember the paparazzi photos from the new girl in our kings life. The big apple was their escape and secret hide out for a short period. They have three daughters, of whom Princess Catharina-Amalia (the Princess of Orange) is the presumed heir to the throne. She starts her exams today and will move out of the house to go to collage in England. Queen Máxima was born in Argentina and worked as a bank employee in New York and Brussels. As a princess she was involved in issues such as integration and the promotion of microfinance. The role of her father, who was secretary of state during the Videla regime, led to tensions around her wedding ceremony. From the moment of the engagement, however, she managed to conquer the hearts of the population through her spontaneity and warmth.

You will see a selection of the career. Ancillary positions
She is member of the Supervisory Board of the National Museum Paleis Het Loo, from 2008 to 2016

Also honorary chairman of the CentiQ platform, Money Wise, from 1 September 2010 still pending, like honorary chairman platform ambassadors Méer Muziek in de Klas, from 10 June 2015
So she is a very busy queen, wife and mother.
For me she is a styl icon. I love that she is always so adaptable and sweet. Ofcourse she gets a giant allowance from all the dutch but I love that we have a queen and a great representative for our little country of orange.
There is so much to tell about her and all she stands for? She is a fashionista. And as a fashion freak myself, I love most of her choices. She wears a lot of designers, like Claes Iversen our dutch designer but also Nathan from Belgium and many others.
Who are the others?
Well designer Jan Taminiau. We all remember him of course: the now famous gown and cape of the Dutch couturier Jan Taminiau that Queen Máxima wore on April 30, 2013, during the inauguration of her husband in the Nieuwe Kerk. That evening, during the Royal Voyage, she dressed herself again in a Taminiau. We will never forget this royal blue look! ( in the first picture and this one )

Designer Natan, from Belgium. If you say Queen Máxima, you say Natan. This Flemish fashion house is by far one of its favorite labels "for daily use". For example, she wore a design by Natan no less than five times during the past King's Days, but she also chooses this designer for all kinds of other private and work matters. Not cheap, but very stylish. The man behind the label is couturier Edouard Vermeulen, and he is now a personal friend, and also dresses the daughter. And he is also the palace designer of the Belgian queen.
Since 2000 he can call himself purveyor to the Belgian royal family, because there too they love his classic cut with modern details. He made Máxima's outfit in honor of the abdication of Queen Beatrix and he designed the wedding dress for the Belgian Princess Mathilde and dutch Princess Laurentien, wife and second runner up of the crown.
But also Claes Iversen, my favorite. He embroiders all dresses by hand. Máxima really enjoys working with the Danish-Dutch designer Claes Iversen. His designs are breathtaking and fairytale-like. For example, she chose a gold look from his hand, during the state visit to Ireland. Also her famous dark purple coat with fabulous stars: a real Claes!
One of her favorite stores for shopping - probably not herself, but still - is Zara. For example, last summer she wore a nice polkadot blouse from the Spanish fashion brand, which we fell in love with immediately.
Prada is one of her accessory favorites. The sunglasses from the Italian fashion house Prada are a big favorite. Me too I love the big black ones. A small investment, but then you can also use it for years to come - and luxury sunglasses will enhance your entire look, even if it is affordable and basic in terms of style.
H&M how cool she wears Zara and H&M , not all has to be mega expansive. But you can also look at more everyday looks from our queen, as it turned out recently when she visited the OLVG hospital in Amsterdam East in an H&M dress. For the occasion, she wore a dark beige H&M midi dress with balloon sleeves, paired with a belt at the waist and beige heels. That is affordable and stylish!
This content is imported from Instagram. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, page maxima, which is done by the personal assistent of the queen. Ofcourse I am a follower.
From Italy one of her favorites is Gianvito Rossi. We spotted her in beautiful heels from all kinds of labels, but Gianvito Rossi's high sandals and pumps seem to be one of her favorites. They must be very comfortable, given the long periods she walks around in these heels.
She has great legs and walk so great on 16”s i love it, 50 and always in heels. But she also wears also Massimo Dutti and Wanderlust.
The fact she has impacable taste in jewels and in hats is for another blog. The history of the royal jewels is very interesting so i will do that asap. There is so much to tell about them , that I will do some research.
I love the fact that our queen also recycles. She wears the Staten, ent pieces more than once, and sometimes the dresses are altered. Nowadays we also see that the three daughters wear things from their mums closet. And thats great.
Now I will watch the dutch RTL compilation of het life and tonight is her exclusive interview to Matthijs van Nieuwkerk for the biggest news broadcasting agency. She doesn’t do many interviews so this will be nice to watch.
So dear queen happy 50 th birthday, even with the covid rules still around I hope you will have a great day.
