Hello 🐝lovely🐝bees🐝! It’s Friday 30th October 2020!! ! Happy Lockdown day!
Yesterday, I had my online course for improving my B&B website. There was someone else down to do a shift in the artisanal shop, but they didn’t show and we got a call from some people standing outside so we opened up (lockdown didn’t start until midnight). We sold a fair bit of stuff, but nothing for me!
At midnight France went into lockdown. It is slightly less rigid than in March. Schools are open. People are allowed to work (if they can’t work from home) but non essential shops, hairdressers, bars, restaurants, etc are closed. I have to fill out a form everytime I leave the house to justify what I am going out for (work, medical reasons, exercise/walking dogs, shopping)
I am only allowed to walk the dogs for an hour and within 1 km of the house.
The market was allowed to go ahead by the town. It wasn’t just essential things (food, etc) being sold. There was clothing, belts etc also.
Last night I made more sheep brooches

Oh my gosh. Lockdown! I'm so sorry, Bruce. That is no fun at all. The rules certainly are confusing, aren't they? What is essential and what isn't? Hmm!!
Well I do hope the lockdown doesn't last more than a month. The pandemic numbers are frightening everywhere, so I'm not surprised. Here in the U.S. it is up to the local governments because our "leader" won't take any steps at all for safety. Somewhere between the two extremes there must be a reasonable balance, it seems to me.
