The man who fixed the world

A while ago I read this story and it changed my view of life.

A scientist was very worried about the problems of the world.  He wanted to solve them all, although it was an impossible task.  He spent days in his laboratory trying to find the answers to these problems. He wanted to save the world.

His six-year-old son wanted to spend time with his father and was determined to help him find solutions.  The scientist was very upset because his son was going to interrupt his work,  and asked him to play somewhere else.  The son refused and his father decided to try and keep him busy.

He found a magazine with a picture of the world map.  He decided to make a puzzle of it.  He cut out many pieces and handed his son the pieces. He reckoned it would take a few days for his son to fix the puzzle of the world.  He said to his son: "This is a puzzle.  You have to build the puzzle without any help.”

The scientist started working and was surprised that after half an hour his son came to him and told him that he finished the puzzle.

At first, the father did not believe the child. He thought it would be impossible that, at his age, he could manage to finish the puzzle in such a short time.  Distrustful, the scientist looked up from his notes, and to his surprise, the map was complete. All the pieces had been placed in their proper places.

"How is this even possible son? You don't know the world map, how were you able to fix the puzzle in such a short time?"

"Dad, when you cut out the pieces of the puzzle, I saw on the other side that there was a picture of a man.  When I managed to fix the man, I turned the puzzle around and saw that he had fixed the world. "

Often enough we come into contact with problems in life that we find difficult to solve.  Even if we try our hardest we cannot solve these problems.  When we communicate with others and ask for help, we may see these problems from a different side and it might be easier to solve.

Sometimes just by looking at a problem from a different point of view, we find easy solutions. Don't stare yourself blind to a problem, rather ask for help and you might find more perspective.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change!
