'Picnic' at hospital / routine follow-up

It had been one year since we saw our our surgeon, to be precise, Jansen's surgeon, Prof Yik. There was no photo of him because hospital here did not encourage taking photos while the doctors and nurses were doing their job. We really did look forward this day after he returned from his sabbatical leave. He was a very good surgeon, highly respected by many.

Eldest son tagging along this time

It was an afternoon appointment yesterday, so the eldest son tagged along. He had been a joy-giver to Jansen. Actually, Jansen was in the midst of his abdominal discomfort, but this time, he felt better because in the midst of pain, there were bouts of alrightness. We were waiting in the waiting area, following SOP and sat at alternate seats maintaining our social distancing.

He was okay, then the next moment, complaining some pain.

But, still get to take photos together. Pardon his face, not so able to smile, bearing the pain.

Daddy was busy finding car park after dropping us off so that we did not need to use the lifts from the car park, which more people frequent. Meeting Prof Yik was a joy, he was actually concern of Jansen's poor weight gain but performing another surgery on Jansen was the last option as he deemed his small body could not take anymore stress now. Unless it warrants another surgery like if he vomits profusely, crying uncontrollably due to pain, or starts vomiting greem stuff, he prefers to keep him at his state now, with periodic pain while managing it with medicines. The down side was his weight will fluctuate too. Nothing is ideal for the moment. We give thanks for life.

While waiting for daddy for the long queue for medicines, eldest son Jayden was near to famish. It was four-hour wait at hospital, that could have burn up all the calories in him. Haha. I quickly bought the food — egg tarts, donuts, pizza and curry puffs. Alot right, because I was hungry too. We went to nearby outer area, where less crowd, I disinfected the whole area, the atmosphere, the air and the seats, and we 'picnic' here.

THANK GOD at this point, Jansen was alright although he could not eat, he still enjoyed the lollipop given by Professor. Yayy! The sounds of water behind us and the look of blue clear sky was a bliss. Nature always confort.

Mandatory photo!

It was a long wait for daddy, we almsot finished all the pastries. By the time, we reached home, it was already almost 6pm. We left house at 1pm. So, so tiring but giving thanks for everything. Everyone slept early due to tiredness.

❤️Love from me❤️
