Saludos, Hivers, una vez más me uno a la iniciativa filosófica, de la cual forman parte actualmente @reymoya95 y @filoriologo. Su finalidad es compartir cada lunes un blog filosófico, atractivo a los lectores, demostrando así que es real la idea, teoría o pensamiento que aquí podamos expresar, es decir, que es posible no sólo hacer una filosofía de la vida sino hacer vida una filosofía.
Por eso, procuraré que sean unos posts los más cercanos posibles a nuestra cotidianidad y, a la vez, claros en su composición, por eso, luego de planteado el tema de mi publicación sigo un esquema de explicación de su significado, luego mi análisis personal, para culminar con la aplicación que puede tener a nuestra vida.
En este post voy a comentar el siguiente pensamiento filosófico, tal vez ya oído por muchos: “El corazón tiene razones que la razón no entiende”, perteneciente al filósofo francés Blaise Pascal (1623-1662).

Una de las cosas que siempre ayuda a comprender mejor un pensamiento filosófico es situarnos en el contexto en el cual éste nació. En este caso particular, la filosofía que dominaba la época era una de corte racionalista, donde se realzaba el papel de la razón en el ser humano, sobre todo, en lo que respecta al conocimiento, es decir, que se consideraba a ésta (la razón) como la principal fuente – y, a veces la única - para obtenerlo.
El pensamiento de Pascal responde precisamente a esto, ya que muchas veces la razón se nos manifiesta limitada y/o muy fría ante el análisis de los hechos, lo cual no nos permite tener una comprensión completa de los mismos.
Así, por ejemplo, él entiende la fe como una apuesta, en el sentido que lo que más conviene al existir humano – aunque la razón se resista – es creer en la existencia de un Ser Superior, ya que así son más las probabilidades de gozar de una dicha eterna.

So, for example, he understands faith as a gamble, in the sense that what is more convenient to human existence -even if reason resists- is to believe in the existence of a Higher Being, since in this way the probabilities of enjoying an eternal bliss are greater.

Un dato interesante que me lleva a fiarme más de este pensamiento de Pascal es que ésta fue su misma experiencia, en efecto, él mismo atravesó un proceso de conversión, que le llevó a integrar en su vida no sólo a la razón como una forma de comprensión de la realidad sino también otras razones, las cuáles podemos abarcar con la palabra corazón.
En efecto, en el corazón del ser humano se encuentran muchos motivos que le llevan a éste a actuar de determinada manera, asumir tal o cual aptitud y tomar determinadas decisiones.
De la misma manera, el corazón humano es considerado como el centro de nuestras emociones, y cómo influyen éstas en la manera de enfrentarnos a las cosas. De hecho, hoy en día, los estudios sobre inteligencia emocional son numerosos por esta misma razón.

- Es necesario sincerarse con uno mismo y reconocer cómo la razón llega a situaciones límites, que se manifiestan cuando no comprendemos algo por mucho que indaguemos en ello. Lo más sano en estos momentos, para no estresarnos y enfermarnos, es abrirnos a las otras razones que tal vez no vemos en un primer momento y que no son precisamente “racionales” sino, por poner un ejemplo, más emocionales, religiosas o espirituales.
- Las razones de la conducta de las personas son muchas veces desconocidas por nosotros y, aunque ciertamente existen parámetros científicos que nos ayudan a estudiarla y comprenderla, en definitiva la razón profunda, última y definitiva sólo la conoce la persona misma y ésta está oculta en su corazón.
Por eso, dice el dicho “caras vemos, corazones no sabemos”
- Valoremos más nuestra inteligencia emocional, pues, fiarnos sólo de la razón no nos garantiza un éxito en nuestra vida, ya que éste no es un camino llano sino con altibajos y la única manera de poder enfrentarlos es con control y manejo de nuestras emociones.

- Let us value our emotional intelligence more, because relying on reason alone does not guarantee success in our lives, since this is not a flat path but one with ups and downs and the only way to be able to face them is by controlling and managing our emotions.
