Why I am unmoved by the #MoveOneMillion protest today in South Africa

Today 5 September 2020 there is a movement in South Africa called M1M who wish to get as many people as possible onto the streets of their respective towns and cities to join in peaceful protest. They are protesting against the government, who are said to be corrupt. It was started by a man with a Facebook group called #Imstaying. The idea is that as South Africans, we should not leave the country that is not suitable for us but rather stay and be proud and work to uplift the situation. The problem being addressed is said to be a government that is corrupt, causing poverty and inequality, and who forced us into lockdown. Here are my reasons why I am unmoved by this call to peaceful protest in my country with this M1M group.

1 The government has done nothing to harm me
The central motivation for calling South Africans to the streets for peaceful protest today, is to complain to the government about the bad situation they are apparently responsible for. To begin with, the government has never done anything to harm me. They are doing a normal job of keeping the country going. It’s fine from my perspective. The roads are good, the water flows, the electricity flows, the sanitation flows. In other words the systems are functioning.

Municipalities are doing their jobs. Refuse is collected. The police have only ever been helpful, coming to my aid when I needed them. So what am I supposed to complain about? I have been to worse countries, where the roads are awful and the pollution and refuse is appalling. Once, after returning from India after six months I was amazed at how clean it is here. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the roads were. And the load shedding was minor compared to India. In fact it looked so clean that I felt as if I could eat off the floor.

If you have only seen this part of the world, you have no comparison. From my perspective South Africa looks fine and it works just fine. We have the best economy on the entire continent. The government is doing its job. Why are you protesting again?

2 All governments have some corruption and always will
Oh yes, you say the government is corrupt. Well, can you point out a government that is not plagued with corruption at some level. Even the mighty USA has numerous highly suspect and morally corrupt people running it. Russia, China, Israel, hello Africa... corruption is present in the biggest and most powerful nations on earth. That’s life on earth friends. Governments are made up of individuals who are susceptible to greed and lust for power. It is human nature to be corrupt sometimes. We are nothing special.

You will see corruption in any nation, especially among previously poor people who are stuck in poverty consciousness, who feel the need to grasp something more for themselves due to the feeling of lack. Not only that, but you will see power hungry, egocentric leaders in the very top nations of the world, so you cannot clean up the government of corruption unless you clean the hearts of the individuals that make up the government, regardless of nation. It is a human problem for the consciousness of all humanity, not a political problem.

3 All governments imposed lockdown – the orders came from higher up
Protesting against an illegal or immoral lockdown is useless because the entire planet was obliged to go into lockdown. South Africa’s government is not in control of that department of life. The global agenda was to lockdown everyone, so our government simply complied here. There is no use complaining to the national government when they are beholden to a higher power, be it the WHO or the NWO or whatever. So any protest about lockdown and the economic collapse resulting from it is futile. Go speak to the real power controllers who run the planet.

4 Poverty is a state of consciousness
You say you want to protest against poverty in South Africa. Again, let me refer you to India if you want to see real poverty. Or the rest of Africa. Hello! Have you ever seen the rest of the planet? We live in such a luxurious region of the world. If you don’t realize that then the poverty is in your personal state of consciousness. Poverty is a mindset. It is a perception of reality. I personally own no land, no possessions, other than those I worked for to buy. I worked at minimum wage of around R200 a day and it took me less than two years to save up the cash to buy a second hand car for myself. What is the difficulty?

And I own a laptop and mobile phone. That’s it. And I now earn no money due to my job being lost under lockdown. But I am not in poverty. I have less than R2000 in my bank account but my life is abundant and perfectly fine. Poverty is of your own doing or based on your perception of reality. Anyone can get a job, earn minimum wage and be happy in South Africa.

Therefore the consciousness need to shift, not the government. Do you need the nanny state to spoon feed you via government grants? If you are in poverty it may because you are too lazy to work or because you don’t know how to save, budget or live without toxic luxuries. You will never change the poverty consciousness mentality by complaining to the government. In fact the government are paying nice pensions monthly, as well as numerous other state grants to millions of people all year long. What more do you expect? Change your perception of reality as well as your personal mindset and poverty will disappear. No protest will ever do that.

5 Be like a bee not a fly – see the good
As I just mentioned, the government is paying millions in grants already. See the good that is already going on. What is the use of complaining and criticizing some nebulous ideological concept like “corruption” or “inequality”? Have you noticed that the nation of South Africa, which is 90% black, is run by a 100% black government. In fact I am the white elephant in the room being given unequal treatment. But I am a minority in the black continent so I shut up and get on with it. I expect nothing less from my black brothers and sisters. The government pay us all the same government pension when we retire penniless, regardless of skin color.

If you live with a personal mindset that you are being treated unequally or that the place is full of problems, then you need to address your mindset, not the government. Some folks only know how to complain or be fault-finders. There is a saying that you can even see blemishes on the Moon if you choose to. According to the best neuroscience today, we need to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. We need to see the good that is already there. By basking in a feeling of contentment, fulfillment and inner prosperity, you will find your external world reciprocating.

Complaining about the faults is a sure way to keep your consciousness submerged in those faults. You will fail. I choose to feel abundant. I appreciate all the blessings that the government and life have already given me. That’s why I feel no need to protest or complain to them. My life is abundant because I am internally wealthy. A bee will appreciate the pollen while a fly will be drawn to the rot.

6 There is a global agenda to create civil unrest and divisiveness
This may be just my opinion, but I have noticed in my research online that there is a global agenda to foment civil unrest, divisiveness and protest. Antifa and Blm are engineered movements of street protest deliberately engineered to spark civil war. Divide and conquer is an old tactic. I personally will be avoiding any such attempt to goad the masses into the streets to protest political machinations that are going on throughout the planet now. There is a bigger globalist agenda to destabilize society and by joining public street protests, we are creating a concept of “us and them”.

The M1M campaign is much like that. In the name of unity in diversity, of all South Africans uniting, we are actually pitting them against their government. It’s now the masses versus the government. I could be wrong of course, but I choose to be very wary of the source, and the motivations behind any street protests. They can be a cover for anarchists and politically motivated destabilization elements with an ulterior globalist agenda. By inciting civil unrest the nation is destabilized and thus weakened, so that even worse agendas can be implemented, like martial law, etc.

Fortunately in South Africa we already have a vibrant democracy and a powerful constitution that facilitates our desire for peaceful protest. So we are safer here and within our rights to have mass gatherings if we choose.

7 We already have a system to voice your concern – it’s called elections
This is an obvious point but if you want to change the government then vote. That is the democratic process of making a change. Simply use your power at the ballot box on election day if you don’t like what your government is doing. The politicians need the votes of the masses to get into power. We put them in power with our vote, so why are we complaining now? That is how democracy works. So you have a much more powerful tool already in your vote. Protest is not needed.

8 Every country in the world is experiencing poverty or economic downfall
Since covid and global lockdown the entire planet is experiencing the next Great economic collapse and depression. South Africa is not alone in the coming poverty and economic collapse. This is a global phenomenon, where USA is experiencing its highest unemployment in 100 years. The cars that line up in USA at food banks for free food parcels number in the thousands daily. The greatest nation in the world today, is feeling the same economic collapse and poverty setting in that you want to complain about here in South Africa.

There is no way that a march against our national government is going to stop the wave of economic collapse and poverty set upon us by the engineers of the lockdown or the pandemic, real or imagined, natural or engineered. The covid/lockdown debate is a topic for another time but the results of the lockdown are being felt in all nations and we will simply have to endure it for the next few years. It will take years for the world’s economy to return to a semblance or health. We cannot demand it to change.

9 I don’t wear the mask – it’s bogus
Less importantly and following on the from the covid theme, the mass meeting and street gathering will demand thousands of us to meet in public and wear a mask. Based on my personal research, the mask concept is bogus and actually dangerous for ones’ health. I personally will not be wearing a mask because I value my health. I have only ever worn it to spend 20 minutes in the shop to buy food once a week. That’s it. If you want me to associate with you it will be without a mask. So I will be keeping out of the way. But that is a minor and controversial issue that detracts form the actual topic here of the street gathering to address the government of South Africa.

10 I have a better strategy- it’s called #MoveOneself
Finally to conclude, the real work in changing the nation is actually about changing oneself. So I have started a new meme called #MoveOneself. That is what will improve our reality in South Africa and anywhere in the world. The real problem is one of consciousness, not politics. I recommend spending some time introspectively reflecting on our perception of reality and of ourselves. Change and upgrade your perceptions and the external world will immediately reciprocate with you. Being the change will require changing how you like to be. Or, more specifically, how you choose to see.

If you live in poverty consciousness then the world will always look sad to you. You will miss the beauty and abundance that is all around you. This is the real mission in life. The political approach is nice but secondary to the inner work required by every one of us. Whether you are rich or poor, we all need to re-evaluate our perception of reality if that perception is not fulfilling. South Africa is a beautiful and wealthy nation. That’s why so many millions of other African foreign nationals flock here and get decent jobs and earn decent money. They have seen the rest of the world, at least their own homelands, and they are only too happy to come here to earn a living by getting a job and saving money to send home. So what is the actual problem Saffas?

The real problem is not the government that is pilfering the coffers. That will always be there to some degree. They are not getting in anyone’s way. You are getting in your own way if you can’t see the beauty and opportunity right in front of you. #Move Oneself and all the other obstacles will fall away. It can be done. I have done it already. Now it’s your turn.

Here's to #MoveOneself!
Good to have your perspective of what is happening in South Africa and how it can apply to anywhere in the world, opening peoples eyes and hopefully minds for better mindsets! Mindsets of abundance with gratitude!

Hey there, many thanks @porters. I appreciate your positive feedback. I will post a video clip on the little gathering that occurred in the streets by the #Move1Million group in a coming post. And we can all participate in #MoveOneself wherever we are.
