Hello Hive friends! I hope you are doing very well today. In this third installment of my Thursday section titled "What do I eat when I'm eating ...?" I want to tell you a little bit about this dressing that I love: mayonnaise! ❤️
¡Hola amigos de Hive! Espero que estén muy bien hoy. En esta tercera entrega de mi sección de los jueves titulada "¿Qué como cuando estoy comiendo...?" quiero hablarles un poco de este aderezo que me encanta: ¡mayonesa! ❤️
Mayonnaise is mainly composed of raw eggs, oil, and lemon juice. This dressing is used in salads, hamburgers, hot dogs, rice, meat and whatever you can think of. I put mayonnaise on everything ❤️.
La mayonesa esta compuesta principalmente por huevos crudos, aceite y jugo de limón. Este aderezo es utilizado en ensaladas, hamburguesas, hot-dogs, arroz, carne y lo que se te ocurra. Yo le pongo mayonesa a todo ❤️.

To make this product we must mix the ingredients with a blender until we achieve a homogeneous and creamy structure. At an industrial level, water is also added to increase the mass of the mixture and stabilizers to prolong its useful life.
Structurally, mayo it is an "o/w emulsion": this means that it is made up of small oil droplets dispersed in an aqueous matrix. But how is it possible that the oil does not separate from the water and the rest of the ingredients? Here we must stop at a physical matter and think that since the oil droplets are so small they would take too long to rejoin and separate from the water.
Para hacer este producto se debe batir con un mezclador los ingredientes hasta lograr una estructura homogénea y cremosa. A nivel industrial, también se añade agua para aumentar la masa de la mezcla y estabilizantes para prolongar su vida útil.
Estructuralmente, la mayonesa es una "emulsión o/w": esto significa que está compuesta por pequeñas gotas de aceite dispersas en una matriz acuosa. Pero, ¿cómo es posible que el aceite no se separe del agua y del resto de los ingredientes? Aquí debemos detenernos en una cuestión física y pensar que como las gotas de aceite son tan pequeñas tardarían demasiado tiempo en volver a unirse y separarse del agua.

Despite the fact that this product can be made at home, we must not forget that one of its ingredients is raw egg. Consuming raw eggs can expose us to a food illness called salmonellosis, which is why it is not recommended to consume homemade mayonnaise. In industrial mayonnaises, before packaging, a process called "pasteurization", in which with a combination of temperature and pressure microorganisms harmful to health are eliminated, transforming the product into a safe food ❤️.
A pesar de que este producto puede realizarse en casa, no debemos olvidar que uno de sus ingredientes es huevo crudo. Consumir huevo crudo puede exponernos a una enfermedad alimentaria llamada salmonelosis por lo cuál no se recomienda consumir mayonesa casera. En las mayonesas industriales, antes del envasado se les realiza un proceso llamado "pasteurización", en el cual con una combinación de temperatura y presión se eliminan los microorganismos dañinos para la salud, transformando el producto en un alimento seguro ❤️.
