Who are You?!

A question that it's easy to answer but it's hard to explain. Not by name but an existence of who you really are as a human being. Not just someone but a person who enjoys its fruitful life. Not just pretending to be that person but being true to himself like shouting to the whole world that it's really you. Not asking who you are but saying proudly that it's you and you're happy with it.

A stupid question for someone but it can be a serious one if you sometimes wonder what's the reason for being alive. If it's asked by name, of course, it will be easy like cutting a piece of cake. Although, the name itself is not the true explanation of you because it's like identification of who you are. Are you sure you're happy with the kind of life you're having now? Are you content with your current situation right now?

An example that can be addressed to me or any one of us. A story of someone who I invented that let us wonder. Are we the same or by any chance it's you being pointed at?

Jack lived a happy life. He has a nice house, a car, and a good source of income because he has a good salary job. He's been enjoying his fruitful life according to what I saw. Who wouldn't think that way after seeing his achievements in life? Of course, I was jealous and wanted to be like Jack.

However, for an instant, all the wealth he had faded. As if, faith played him, and all of sudden he went into nothingness. Like a broke person, physically and mentally. No job, no house, and no more money in his pocket. Like he was in a poverty state like you wanted to pity him and felt disappointed. After all the things he had, he turned out to be like this.

Right before his downfall, he realized something in his life. When we were born he did nothing but follow his parents. Being top in schools, returning home with an honorary title to show to his parents, and more. The time came that he felt suffocated. He felt like he didn't do anything for his own happiness. He didn't do what he really wanted in life. He was living a life that he never dreamed of but dreamed of by others. He decided to let it go and be honest to himself.

Jack lost everything that he had but he didn't regret it. He didn't blame himself for following his dreams because that's what made him happy. It's true that compared to his current life from before, this was nothing. He realized it's alright because it didn't mean he has no future anymore. He still has but all he needed to do was to enjoy life and keep moving forward. Life is always a challenge, if you don't do anything there will be none to come.

Of course, that was just my story created from my playful mind. I will let you think about what will happen or let's say make it happen in your own life right now. If you think it's over, think again and discover more about your life. Don't be like Jack but be like yourself because more than anything it's you who will live your life.

Ask yourself if this is the kind of life you wanted? It's okay to be afraid. Our life in this world is a gamble and that's why don't be scared to take a risk. Nothing happens if you will not take steps to that future that is waiting. You can't reach your destination by staying where you are. There are no results when you refuse to do something. It's okay to fail because it's part of winning. No winners if there are no losers. It's like the opposite for something to make us feel satisfied.

Although, the name itself is not the true explanation of you because it's like identification of who you are.

There are times whereas what comes after our name dictates our identity. To the point that folks push on having their profession be added to their name purposely. The DRS, ATTY, RN, LPT, MD are such acronyms added to their names. I am not against it as they earned and work hard for it. Though my concern is they are forgetting other aspect of their identity in the process.

Yes, because they were too focused on enjoying their life despite hurting others. thanks tp
