Hiya Hivers

Welcome again to another Tree Tuesday!

I hope everyone has had a pleasant Tree Tuesday. I have a bit of sad news. Not like hugely terrible mind you, but I share it as a possible reminder.

However, first a bit of happy!

The OldGuy knows you all have been starving for another jam, so I just released Space Trees on Spotify https://spoti.fi/3mElAK5 or simply ask Alexa to play "Space Trees" by OldGuy :D

A special thank you to @jacey.boldart for the awesome album art 😁

My friend hit a deer. It happens here in Michigan. A lot. It was his first one. I used to drive much more than now and have hit half a dozen or so. Of course he did all that was possible to avoid it. Unfortunately it was a glancing it, so the police needed to be called to put the poor deer down.

The only good thing was that he was uninjured. The car did not go unscathed. He hasn't heard an amount for the damages yet, but I know from experience it wont be pretty.

Do notice the wall of white fog in the trees. The cool air in the mornings and evenings has a tendency to make things a little on the peas soup consistency. That always seems to embolden the deer into being more active.

My high school math teacher was killed when he hit a deer with his Corvette and it came through the windshield. So along with Sgt. Phil Esterhaus I say:

Keep an eye out for deer!

Your trees are beautiful today! Have you really lost all your leaves on some trees? I love how the first one is hauntingly beautiful, right on time for the coming of Halloween.

I need to go to Spotify and give it a listen. Alexa will find you. The artwork is top-notch! I love the collaboration of you and Jacey for these projects. It enhances your music and gets her art out there. I like it when there is a good partnership where it is a win-win for both. A match made in heaven.

As for the deer, I am glad your daughters' boyfriend didn't get hurt and hope it is not the same vehicle that just got fixed... on the other hand, another one would mean another vehicle wrecked, so that is a misguided wish on my part. I have never hit a deer, but, have been very close several times. That dawn and dusk thing is when I used to drive the most. In the UP, it was hazardous to your existence. Here, the occasional tangle with the deer, but not too bad. Closer to the mountains, a larger population.

Beautiful shots! You have really upped your photography game. I love the first and last best. If I had to choose. I hope you have a most wonderful day.

We are loosing leaves - with no color so far. It is unbelievable. We are getting ripped off on even that... no colors at all so far. We wont have any leaves left to change at this rate!

You got to have the Amazon Unlimited (pay) music for Alexa to find me.

Well free art work, hello? You know the Old Guy loves free. Say, I would love to use a @dswigle photo! Got any you would be willing to share?

What makes you think I don't have Amazon Unlimited? (Pay) music for Alexa?

You already have free artwork, and dswigle is no competition with Jacey Maxx or the photos that you are posting. I would say you got the best deal and I am sure you will be able to work out a partnership to seal the deal.

No I am saying for my next tune? Come on, you dont want to be stingy do u?

That is exactly what I am saying. Use what has been working for you.

GREAT POST!!!

Thanks so much!

You do have to be careful when driving. Deer and even moose do not obey crossings and they can do more than damage the car.

Sad story.

OMG you have moose! Yikes! I have seen horses on the road twice and a cow once. I even stopped and told the farmer it was loose!

Haha ... not specifically where I live no ... but across Canada yes.

Oh my gosh, that's terrible about the poor deer. They do seem more bold this time of year. What is up with that?

I have only hit one. I was driving a small tin can type car and am just super lucky that the deer plopped onto the hood, which crushed under the weight and took the blow, but then it popped right back off again and ran away into the woods. It could have been so much worse, like what happened to your poor math teacher. That really is tragic.

The thing about deer is that first of all they are just not that brainy. (They didn't come up with "deer in the headlights" for nothing.) And also, if there is one, there are usually more behind it. So if one passes in front of my headlights I slow WAY down to watch for more that will often follow.

Too bad for the friend's car. My friend also hit a deer when I was living in Kansas City.
The deer survived of hop away. His Nissan Sunny was less fortunate: totaled.

Hello handsome boy

I hope you are well and protect yourself, well all you can
happy wednesday and remember smile

I like it ! Of course, I'm biased....ha ha

The deer will be out all over here soon. I went to visit Mom today and once again I am back to wanting to leave before dark. Since she lives on the other side of the county, I have to deer dodge between her house and town and then out the other side coming home. I too have never hit one, although I was in the van when my brother hit one once. Fortunately it was one hard tap to the bumper and the deer flew over to the other side. It was dark and rural and no way to check on it's condition.

I have had a few near misses though....

Yeah I can understand being wary of the deer dash. I have tried all kinds of the whistles etc and with no success. I have a 1000 dollar deductible, so it can be an expensive problem as well!
