Wednesday Walk with Horses Among the Blossoms...

I stand amazed at the abundance of blossoms starting to appear around our place! There is a lot of berry bushes and it looks like it may be a very good berry year since the frosts are pretty much past now and there has been lots of bees buzzing about!

As we headed off for our walk down our wooded lane a squirrel spied us, chattered, gave us a look and scurried off.

I'm delighted with the bright and beautiful marsh marigolds that line our lane this time of year and to think it wasn't that many years ago that you couldn't even find one in that area!

This area has been opening up more with a lot of the old black spruce falling down. It seems with the amount of standing water filling the bog area for longer periods is killing a lot of them off. This has opened it for the currents to get the light and there are patches of current bushes in full bloom scattered through out the landscape!

Another berry bush that is in full bloom is the Saskatoon berry bush. We have a lovely patch at the front of our property among the lush green of the freshly leaved poplar trees.

There is another row of them along my neighbor's fence lining the pasture where the horses are enjoying the fresh grass.

Further up the road at our other neighbor's pasture his big black, part work horse was standing peering over the fence at us while a black bird perched on a young spruce tree beside him.

I'll leave you with a photo as I journeyed to the moon's surface. It had me mesmerized with it's brilliance as it was rising through the tree tops and I took a myriad of photos. That will have to wait until another post!

Ah, some calming time soaking up nature.

Suddenly so lushly green up there! Love these walks....

A little bit of light at the end of a frustrating day, so beautiful outdoors over here, yet living under unconventional rulings is slowly taking strain.

Thanks for beautiful countryside walk to relax and enjoy Jo, it most definitely helps to see your wonderful nature photography.

Glad you enjoyed it!
Any signs of it lifting?

Great to look at. This fresh, lush green on the trees. I also went for a walk with my child and we were able to observe squirrels (unfortunately not taking pictures). But they looked completely different. More gray.

Where abouts do you live/ That is probably the grey squirrel which is different from the squirrels we have in the Boreal Forest Region here in Saskatchewan, Canada.
