Hail to the Hive!

After several days of really terrible weather, endless wind and rain and rough seas today is only a bad day and not terrible so it's an improvement. We have no divers today, well no customers that is, but we do have a couple of the instructors in doing some Twin Set training as there will be a Tec Diving Course happening soon. A bit of really deep diving not your normal stuff.

It's quite nice to see something different going on to be honest. Watching the preparation of the equipment and the way they configure everything is very interesting and very different than regular recreational scuba.

And quite different from the activity next door as they continue with their demolition of the structures in the 3m easement zone. it doesn't look like much fun to be honest. We did the majority of ours over 7 months ago and will be completely renovating the dive shop in Feb. I don't think I'll be here to see it's completion but I'm sure it will be a huge improvement.

I think it's a really good idea to completely refurb and prepare for a fresh start, new management etc. Would love to see the place bounce back and prosper in the future.

Anyway I need another coffee...

Stay safe out there people, wherever you may be on this planet of ours

My buddy the Navy diver did some deep scuba in his career. Lot's of 'extra' stuff to do. I'll just guarantee you that he still remembers enough of his decompression tables to keep from dying on the way to the surface. Some of that was from scuba but also from hard hat. They had like 6 hour stops there.

No permanent structures 3m from the high water line? Probably a good idea all in all. I hope your coffee is hot and as good as mine.

Hi @bigtom13, good to see you. Yup piping hot, black and strong :)
