Hail to the Hive!
After several days of persistent rain, high winds and rough seas the whle area is a bit of a mess. Palm fronds fallen everywhere in the muddy streets. Next door looks a bit of a state but that wasn't caused by the storms that was because they are finally ( almost a year after we started) pulling their building back to comply with the coastal easement. But as it is it just adds to the general mess everywhere. It's very bleak really.
I had the guys remove the sun canvas from the boat as it was severly damaged by high winds on consecutive nights. When the weather is better they can look to replacing it. We will need new bamboo and new canvas to do that. The canvas is usually sourced in the city and the bamboo in the mountains. Nothing is ever straight forward here. It will have to wait for a bit. We only have our regulars and they fully understand the situation here right now.
I think I'll head home at lunch time as I need to sort stuff out to prepare to sell and there really isn't anything happening here today anyway. It will be nice to be home as it's wet and bleak here today.
I know though! More coffee that will sort me out.
