Introduction

With this part and only two weeks, until Christmas arrives, I'm presenting part 15 of Crafting 4 Christmas. There are still a few decorations left that I wish to make in the next weeks, and I also hope the biggest project will end up being awesome. But more about that next week!

In the last part, I showed an example of how to make a Christmas wreath (the basis) from scratch using only what's in the house. In my case, I used aluminum foil and paper mache on top. You can find the post here: Paper Mache Christmas Wreath. The first part is suitable for small children, as you will get sticky hands, and we all know most children love that!

I didn't share the decorated end result yet, as we have started that part today. Today my daughter was in charge of which items we would put on the wreath, I attached them as I don't want her to use a glue gun yet to avoid painful moments.

I think it took us about 20 minutes to decorate it only, which was a quick craft today.

Some extra information about the hidden ball, my daughter was determined to add the white ball, even though a coloured one would have been better visible. It's her wreath, she was in charge, so the white one it is. :)

I also added another branch on the lower right which I didn't include in the instructions. Here's the end result once more:

Conclusion

Decorating a Christmas tree can be done with so many things, be creative like my daughter who wanted to use the Christmas candy wraps, it looks cool, I have to give her that!

Hopefully, you enjoyed this part of Crafting 4 Christmas, and see you next time!

My Mom and my Sister are the arty ones in the home, alas I do not even hang any decorations anymore. Well done in making your own, takes on new meaning using things around the home to make something useful again @thisismylife

Yes, and on top of that, it's quite cool to have a batch of homemade decorations instead of buying them in the store only. I don't have a sewing machine, nor can I work with one even if I did, so my creations are limited but so far I'm glad I'm doing the crafting this year. The biggest one is yet to come though, the Gingerbread house will be posted next week (somewhere after Hivefest)..

Nice creativity by you and your daughter

Thank you @jizzyjoe :)

YOU ARE WELCOME

What a wonderful craft! You really made it seem easy. I am so intimidated by craft projects, but even I could do this one. Thank you for sharing the steps and the pictures!

Thank you, it's easy, I'm sure anyone can do it. It was a bit messy to make the wreath ring from scratch but worth it to keep it low budget :) Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, man. You artsy crafty types make me nervous. That you can start with ordinary stuff and end up with something beautiful just amazes me. What a delightful project and the project director did a nice job.

The three cinnamon sticks reminded me of three small cigars which I would really like on my wreath...

Lol, no need to get nervous, I have to work a lot with what I've got in the house (as it's already piling up in art supplies and I don't want to add more unless I'm sure I will use it soon. I used to have an attic or room filled with old stuff which I could go through and find old gems to upcycle, but after moving countries, that belongs to the past..

One thing I did learn was to really think out of the box and see if I really need to buy things or can create it myself. It doesn't always work out though, sometimes my head sees the result but I can't grab my head around how to do it.

Did you make a wreath yourself using cigars? If so, that's quite creative I say! You can use anything on it actually, I was thinking of using the leftover balls from the tree first, but that probably would look quite boring. Still not decided on my wreath lol..

Thanks for stopping by!
