This morning the weather is quite sunny and it has become a spirit in itself to explore one of the routines of people in the hinterland of North Aceh. Incidentally, there is a weekend market [traditional market] being held, precisely in Alue Papeun village, Nisam Antara sub-district, Aceh province.
Pagi ini cuaca cukup cerah dan menjadi semangat tersendiri untuk mengekplore salah satu rutinitas masyarakat di pedalaman Aceh Utara. Kebetulan disana sedang diadakannya pasar pekan [pasar tradisional], tepatnya di desa Alue Papeun, kecamatan Nisam, provinsi Aceh.
Fifteen years ago, the atmosphere was different, apart from being the base for a guerrilla defensive area, Alue Papeun was known as a battlefield for the Indonesian National Army [TNI] and the Free Aceh Movement [GAM]. After the prolonged conflict between RI and GAM, Alue Papeun has now transformed into one of the busiest economic centers in the hinterland of North Aceh.
Lima belas tahun yang lalu, suasa tentu saja berbeda, selain menjadi basis daerah pertahan Gerilyawan, Alue Papeun dikenal sebagai medan tempur bagi Tentara Nasional Indonesia [TNI] dan Gerakan Aceh Merdeka [GAM]. Paska konflik yang berkepanjangan antara RI dan GAM, kini Alue Papeun telah bertransformasi menjadi salah satu sentra perekonomia tersibuk di pedalaman Aceh Utara.
I visited today, the post-peace atmosphere is quite obvious, 15 years have passed, the people there are now very comfortable and peaceful enjoying their daily lives after peace in Aceh.
Saya mengunjunginya hari ini, suasana paska damai cukup kentara, 15 tahun sudah berlalu, masyarakat disana kini sudah sangat nyaman dan damai menikmati keseharian mereka paska damai di Aceh.
This traditional market is held once a week, all traders from various regions in North Aceh and Bireuen districts gather here. They only hold day stalls selling, from morning to midday, then re-close it and return to their homes
Pasar tradisional ini diadakan seminggu sekali, seluruh pedagang dari berbagai kawasan di kabupaten Aceh Utara dan kabupaten Bireuen berkumpul disini. Mereka hanya menggelar lapak sehari berjualan, dari pagi hingga tengah hari, selanjutnya kembali menutupnya dan pulang ke rumah mereka masing-masing
It was a great experience to be able to visit it today, I documented some pictures of the crowd at Alue Papeun using a Canon A3200 camera and shared them with hiver blockchain friends, hope you enjoy it, friends!
