This is my first trip to visit Sun Moon Lake, Sun Moon Lake is a name for a beautiful alpine lake located in Yuchi Township, Nantao County -Taiwan.
Sun Moon Lake is one of the most interesting and famous tourist destinations in Taiwan. The beautiful lake is located between the mountains, the weather is quite cold in the middle of entering winter December.
Nantao is a mountainous area that is cool in summer and spring, but the temperature will be slightly cold when entering autumn and even cooler when entering winter. For transportation I use the bus from the Taichung bus terminal, it takes about 2 hours 19 minutes with a one-time transfer to Sun Moon Lake station, the fare to be paid is approximately US $8. And returning home by taxi, it takes 57 minutes at a cost of around US $65.
Lalu Island is the separator between the lakes, one of the lakes forms a crescent moon and the other is circular like the sun, this is how it was originally called Sun Moon Lake. Around the mountains we can see mountains that are like a circle complete with forest trees and streams.
To get to other of the islands we can use public transportation like Ferry ship. The lake is very wide and calm with blue water, giving a comfortable atmosphere in the heart when visiting in various seasons. There is the option of taking the cable car to see the stunning view of Sun Moon Lake from a height with the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway cable car facility.
The panorama is simply breathtaking! Beautifully situated lake with all possibilities to spend a good day.

The lake changes its face and color constantly with the weather and offers an almost infinite range of facets. The lake is particularly beautiful in the early morning hour when the water is still as smooth as a mirror and is not yet crossed by the countless excursion boats or in the evening at the blue hour when the villages on the shore and the temples switch on their lights and thus light accents to the set in the dark landscape.
