Milkweed Bug in my garden

in CCH3 years ago

Today's quest for an interesting subject brought me to our backyard where I came across this familiar-looking bug; it's called Milkweed Bug. For anyone who sees this kind of bug in their garden will immediately urge them to get a bug spray for it. Well, this is the kind of bug that has nothing to do with the destruction of your plants if there are any. They are typically the neutral ones and it should be fine to let them wander around your garden.

They may have a striking bright orange on them and have 6 legs but they are basically harmless to your garden or to humans as well.

The bright color orange is just a defense mechanism but it doesn't mean any harm to any other insect and to humans as well. Is there a way of telling animals to leave them alone for they may contain toxins on them? That's just one way to explain the color of its body.

In nature, bright colors like this may indicate that an insect is either poisonous or toxic. Somehow, there are insects who figure out to evolve in such a way that they may depict a warning sign on their body. It's a way to threaten larger creatures not to eat as they may do harm to them in return.

I hope you enjoyed viewing the photos and some interesting facts about the subject.

Have a great day!
