Last week we were in Hungary visiting the dentist. Some time ago my husband started to notice that his teeth are falling out, he was eating something and all of a sudden 3 front teeth felt out. He was really surprised. I know this feeling because I already broke my teeth, but he was in shock because he didn’t fall or anything, he just made a normal bite and his teeth felt out. His teeth were always bad because some health conditions, but we didn’t expect that this will happen so soon. He wasn’t ready. We all know how expensive dentists are, especially in Austria. He is too young to be without teeth, so we started searching for dentists. Prices in Austria, Slovenia, or even in Croatia are just enormous and with normal pay, you can’t afford to change all your teeth. So what to do? He was looking for dentists for 2 weeks all around Europe, and he found one in Hungary. So many positive reviews and almost all customers reviews were from Germany and Austria. Interesting. He called them and they say that if you losing your teeth due to health conditions our Austria insurance will cover 50% of the price. Incredible. And so we went.
But this is not an article about dentists. I will write about that, but not yet because it is not finished. He is still in process.
So we went for 3 days and we needed to do something there because this is my vacation this year. 😂
This place is located 15 minutes away from the Slovak border, in the middle of nowhere. The city is full of German and Austrian tourists, so it must be something we can see in our free time. Of course, the virus makes everything difficult and so we didn't want to go to Slovakia and we preferred to stay within the city.
And what did I find?
Futura - interactive science adventure center
What is that, you ask?
The development creates an interactive, natural science exhibition which is unique in Hungary that resides in the near 300-year-old Futura granary.

One part of the exhibition presents to the visitors the close wildlife of FUTURA’s surroundings that is Szigetköz region. The other part of the exhibition shows the wonders and mysteries of nature by playful and interactive materials.
The exhibition can be seen on the 4 floors of FUTURA, each referring to the 4 natural elements (water, ground, air, fire). All this will offer unforgettable experiences, entertainment and fun. Discover this admirable world!
I was really surprised by the show. Somehow I expected everything to be at the child level but no, I had fun like I hadn’t for a long time. So many interesting things and different experiments, if you take the time you can spend there almost all day. If you go with the kids, you're definitely staying there till the evening.
It was really great and if you are ever in this city I really recommend you to stop at this museum.
And yes, pictures are saying more than a thousand words.
Here you go.
