Hello MED-HIVE community, my respects to all friends and colleagues in this community, my name is Ricardo Santiesteban Medicine intern and future geriatrician, today I want to contribute to the theme of the week with some knowledge about development and growth and about some changes that occur periodically in adolescence. I hope you find it of interest.
Para iniciar quiero desarrollar cada uno estos de estos dos conceptos:
Desarrollo: Implica diferenciación celular con adquisición de nuevas funciones. Es un proceso de maduración. Es un fenómeno cualitativo.
Crecimiento: En este otro caso consiste en aumento de las dimensiones corporales es aumento del número y tamaño de las células. Es un proceso cuantitativo.
To start I want to develop each of these two concepts:
Development: It involves cell differentiation with the acquisition of new functions. It is a maturation process. It is a qualitative phenomenon.
Growth: In this other case, it consists of an increase in body dimensions, an increase in the number and size of cells. It is a quantitative process.

El crecimiento y el desarrollo recoge varias etapas dentro de las cuales se encuentra una que hoy les traigo como temática, la adolescencia que va desde la pre-adolescencia desde aproximadamente los 9 años y culmina con la juventud adulta sobre los 24 años, el rango etario puede variar según el sexo.
Growth and development includes several stages within which there is one that I bring you today as a theme, adolescence that goes from pre-adolescence from approximately 9 years old and culminates with adulthood over 24 years old, the age range can vary according to sex.
Cambios Durante la Adolescencia en el sexo Masculino:
Sudoración con olor más fuerte.
Aumento de volumen testicular.
Desarrollo del pene y bolsa escrotal.
Aparición del vello pubiano.
Las mamas aumentan de tamaño, puede observarse ginecomastia fisiológica.
Aparición del vello axilar.
Espermaquia (inicio de la emisión de esperma) o eyacularquia.
Aparición del vello facial.
Estirón puberal tardío.
10.Modificación del tono de la voz.
11.Aparición de la nuez de Adán.
12.Aumento de la masa muscular.
13.Aparece el acné.
Changes During Adolescence in the Male Sex:
Stronger smelling sweating.
Increased testicular volume.
Development of the penis and scrotal sac.
Appearance of pubic hair.
Breasts increase in size, physiological gynecomastia may be observed.
Appearance of armpit hair.
Spermachia (beginning of sperm emission) or ejaculation.
Appearance of facial hair.
Late pubertal growth spurt.
10.Modification of the tone of voice.
11.Appearance of the Adam's apple.
12.Increased muscle mass.
13.Acne appears.

Desarrollo mamario.

Desarrollo de los labios mayores y menores de la vulva.
Crecimiento de los ovarios, vagina y útero.

10.Aumento de la grasa corporal.
11.Aparece el acné, más temprano que en los varones.
Changes in the female sex
Sweating with an odor, less intense than in
the men.Pelvic growth (9-10 years).
Breast development.
Appearance of pubic hair.
Development of the labia majora and minora of the vulva.
Growth of the ovaries, vagina and uterus.
Early pubertal growth spurt.
Appearance of armpit hair.
Menarche (First menstruation)
Increased body fat.
Acne appears earlier than in men.
