Pantai Berawa
One of my favourite Beach Bar on one of my all-time favourite Beaches, the Pantai Berawa in Canggu. Unfortunately, as far as I have heard all these small beach bars were bought up to build new large beach clubs.This is a pity as it will destroy the vibe of this beach.
Eine meiner Lieblingsstrandbars an einem meiner Lieblingsstrände aller Zeiten, dem Pantai Berawa in Canggu. Leider wurden, soweit ich gehört habe, all diese kleinen Strandbars aufgekauft, um neue große Strandclubs zu bauen. Das ist schade, da dies die Atmosphäre dieses Strandes zerstören wird.

Cool minibusinesses like this often haven't fared too well during the pandemic. Hope this place finds a way to stay open.

As said, as far as I know the whole area has been bought up by big investors who plan to build more big beach clubs. These people are unscrupulous and money driven. They don´t care about such small businesses, they just want more and more... :(
That sucks if that's the case. A similar fate hit Sihanoukville, Cambodia, over the last five years. There are a handful of mini bars and businesses near the beach, but their fate has been sealed.
Hopefully Corona made the big investors running out of money ;)....but I doubt it.
Ah well, it's always those investors who want to build more hip beach bars. I feel sorry for the locals who had to let their business go in exchange of only small sum money compared to what the investors get in the long term. Sure the compensation they get might be a lot but compared to long-term investment, that's nothing. I hope this trend will stop but I am not positive about it.
