Kittil Falls

in Photography4 years ago

A slightly different view on Kittil falls. We camped here back in late Autumn and had the place all to ourselves. The falls were flowing well from autumn rains that had melted the recent early season snow. The moss which seemed as ancient as the rock it was growing on had taken on its own autumn hue. Gone are the vivid greens of summer. Not long after this trip this whole waterfall was locked down into a state of suspended animation; frozen solid for the long northern winter.

The process of a waterfall freezing seems rather fascinating. Might have to look up a timelapse at some stage XD

Yes its freezes from the outside and flows in the middle.

SO pretty much like a big river then, that makes sense.

I like the use of natural density filter in this. Loved this picture.

Amazing pictures
