In the same way that Lewis Carroll's Alice used a mirror to surreptitiously enter the surreal worlds of speculative fantasy, the bare portico of what centuries ago was an elegant Romanesque church can serve the romantic's intentions, as an excuse, more or less perfect, to congratulate oneself with that principle of surrealist symbolism, which affirms, with disconcerting categoricalness, that there are other worlds, even though they are in this one.
In this sense, anyone would say that passing through the threshold can lead to crossing an imperceptible loop in space-time, at the exit of which a fantastic vision awaits us, where, in this case, autumn is transfigured into alchemist who sublimates colors that precede 'putrefaction' or relative death, which after a period of sublimation and rest, will mean a rebirth of the original beauty, which will validate the famous mythological legend of the Phoenix Bird.
And it is that, as it happens with everything in Nature, perceptions are also subject to the ineffable law of change and transmutation, conforming, in accordance with the feelings and particular fantasies of the individual.
