Whenever I take a walk through this nostalgic environment, I imagine the wayward and persevering Mark Twain, knocking insistently on the rusty knockers of the miserable palace of my memory, to continue trying to seduce me with the charm of that South of the United States, which still perseveres, in the dim light of its humble stoves, in igniting the flame that encouraged old Dixie's lone star.
Around this old pier, there are neither short nor extensive cotton plantations, which, like metaphorical spider webs, allow themselves to be deceived by the embrace of the dew, which tends to become a shroud when it comes to visit them in the icy early mornings; but there is a wild, wild and lustful environment, where, in times past, the same witches that Francisco de Goya immortalized in his black paintings spent the night and celebrated their crazy covens.
Sometimes when the stork leaves the old nest in the church tower and crosses the place, flying swiftly to milder climes, I think, perhaps, it will be next spring, when he returns with Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry. Finn and together, like the promising musketeers of Alexandre Dumas, let's resume our fantastic adventures, at that point where maturity separated us, embarking on different ships. Who knows: maybe it wasn't them, but me, who ended up sinking like the Titanic in the end.

If it is a house, it woud fantastic to wake up in a such environment.
It is just a small jetty, simple but located in a charming place, where, yes, something very important is awakened: the senses. Cheers
