It could be said, always from the perspective offered by the subjective and metaphorical, that setting foot in the interiors of an old monastery entails the opportunity to awaken that restless goblin, as we could describe intuition and letting ourselves be carried away by it and above everything, by the seduction of the unusual, to better understand the inspirations of the old poets, such as Bécquer, Machado, Breton or Eluard, when they made reference to those other worlds, which after all and to our despair, are also in this one.
It was, precisely, in a place very similar to this, where Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer compiled the most fantastic of his wonderful supernatural legends, where beings of different natures, as reverend Kirk asserted, cohabited in universes parallel to ours, between whose dimensions and in on certain occasions, doors were opened, very similar to those formed in the pavement, when the sun, at its zenith, hits with all its force on the south side of its ancient gallery.
Podría decirse, siempre bajo la perspectiva que nos brinda lo subjetivo y metafórico, que poner los pies en las interioridades de un viejo monasterio, conlleva la oportunidad de despertar a ese duende inquieto, como podríamos calificar a la intuición y dejándonos llevar por ella y sobre todo, por la seducción de lo insólito, llegar a comprender mejor las inspiraciones de los viejos poetas, como Bécquer, Machado, Breton o Eluard, cuando hacían referencia a esos otros mundos, que después de todo y para nuestro desespero, están también en éste.
Fue, precisamente, en un lugar muy similar a este, donde Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer recopiló lo más fantástico de sus maravillosas leyendas sobrenaturales, donde seres de diferente naturaleza, como aseveraba el reverendo Kirk, cohabitaban en universos paralelos al nuestro, entre cuyas dimensiones y en determinadas ocasiones, se abrían puertas, muy similares a las formadas en el pavimiento, cuando el sol, en su cénit, incide con toda su fuerza sobre el lado sur de su milenaria galería.
