For Filipinos: Due to the lockdowns created by the Covid19 Pandemic. The Department of Education, is now making consultations and surveys on different sectors on the possible shift of the start of school year 2020-2021 from the usual June opening to August.

I'm neither a parent or student, but i feel it's in the best interest for everyone that they postpone school until at least the start of the next school year/the fall.

It's way too early plus children are those who spread diseases fast. Btw school does not start that early with us. Half June till the end of August is summer Holliday.
In the Philippines, we start the school year on June.
But due to this pandemic, we might change to August for good.
Change for good is not bad either. With us they said schools should start again but now I heard it's way too early and I agree. Schools are breeding places of illnesses and if a child does not get seriously ill itself it doesn't mean they do not put others in danger. I do not see the need of full classrooms anyway. Homeschooling works fine and teachers know at least one year ahead if not years ahead exactly what needs to be reached during a year. The lessons repeat themselves and children can be given work for a week or two weeks even a month ahead.
I agree. We will have to wait how this lockdown ends.
With us, it's not a real lockdown except for the borders to some people. I still see and hear many planes in the air. Just read many elderly died because help was refused so even those numbers shouldn't be that high.
After May 11 or in June we see where we stand. 💕
Same here, May 15 is the last day of ECQ(enhanced community quarantine).
Fingers crossed this will be the end of it and not the next disaster coming over us. There's a new child disease. A lot of symptoms are the same as with Covid and already some children got seriously ill and died. They know nothing about it yet, only symptoms and speculations what it can be. 💕
